Ibanez Guitar Corporation History
American Musical Supply is an authorized dealer of Ibanez Guitars. Founded in 1946, Ibanez Musical Instruments Corporation began distributing a Spanish guitar named Ibanez. During the mid 1960's Ibanez began shipping high quality but very inexpensive electric guitars to the United States. Then Ibanez began making their own designs: the solid body Artists (played by Bob Weir of the Dead) the Iceman (first made famous by Paul Stanley of KISS) and the George Benson guitars. As well known for its jazz guitars as it is for rock, Ibanez has an impressive line of bass guitars too. Ibanez is also one of the top selling bass companies in the world (in many places the top selling bass).
Ibanez Electric Guitars
have long been regarded as the go to guitar for players who want to play hard and fast. Ibanez RG
guitars are severely popular among beginners and pros alike with their thru-neck design and are available with a fixed or tremolo bridge. If you want something with a little extra, grab an Ibanez Prestige
made by Japan’s top luthiers and offering thin, fast Wizard necks, Edge Zero or Edge Pro bridges and Prestige finishing. Ibanez Artcore
Hollow Guitars provide huge and rich tone with incredible body styling. Signature guitars including Ibanez Joe Satriani’s JS
or Ibanez JEM and UV Steve Vai
models provide the same great playability the Pros expect from their Ibanez guitars.
Since 1987, musicians all over the world have come to know the playing comfort and unique sound of the Ibanez SR Basses
. The Ibanez SR300 Bass
is priced like a beginner's instrument, but it has features that make it fit for the professional. The Ibanez SR500 Bass
brings an unheard of tone to the mid price range. The thinner design of the Ibanez SR700 Bass
combined with its convenient cutaway make it easy for those with smaller hands to access all the strings along the neck. Lightweight and more accessible to every bass player.
