AKG

The AKG WMS40 Mini wireless system delivers a clear natural sound with easy to use controls that professional musicians will enjoy using on stage. AKG utilizes their Unique HDAP (High Definition Audio Performance) technology which ensures the best possible, most realistic sound at any time. Delivering reliable performance for various applications, the AKG WMS40 Mini wireless system delivers dependability for live sound performers and houses of worship.

AKG WMS 40 Mini Instrumental Guitar Wireless System Features
  • Up to 30 hours playtime with one single AA battery
  • Plug and Play
  • Gain control on pocket transmitter
  • Compatible with all AKG MicroMics
  • Low battery indicator
  • Smallest and lightest bodypack transmitter in its class
The SR40 Mini receiver provides three status LEDs indicating ON/OFF status, received signal strength (RF OK), and audio clipping (AF CLIP). The volume control sets the level at the 1/4 inch output jack. The supplied switched mode power supply operates on any AC voltage from 110 to 240 VAC and includes EU, UK, and US adapters.

The PT40 Mini bodypack is probably the smallest and lightest transmitter in its class. A reliable mini XLR output allows you to connect every compatible AKG miniature microphone. Battery life of the transmitter is the same legendary 30 hours off a single AA battery as for the WMS 40 models, reducing the need to replace batteries and thus saving real money in the long run.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Hard to say, but if treated with care it seems very durable.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
Mute/On/Off on the transmitter, a volume dial on the receiver, and indicator lights letting you know how the signal is (if there is any interference). And you can even dial it in more if needed on the transmitter. I did not have this issue. You may experience some extraneous signals as it may pick up a UHF or VHF signal, I did not have that problem at home or at band practice
Ease of Use
How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
Extremely easy to use, it took 15 minutes from unboxing to getting it to be functional. I wandered up a couple of flights of stairs in my house, and the signal was still strong. I took it to band practice last night and it worked FLAWLESSLY. The only caveat is you cannot use rechargeable batteries. While you get 30 hours per AA, 30 hours can clip by fast, so have some spares. This is not a slight on their product in any way. The volume on the receiver and the mute on the transmitter are very, very nice features.
Sound
How is the tone?
Amazing. That's from me and my band mates. Never cuts out
