Subject:$99.95??? WoW!!!
Quality: The speakers are very well made and they sound good out of the box. Let's see how dependable they are over time.
Features: The best feature is the sweet spot. It's big and clean and clear and true. It takes a few minutes to find it by adjusting the space between the speakers and angling them correctly, at ear level. I put my computer volume control to low and cranked the speakers to 6 and this gives the speakers more definition and presence and push and you don't have to reach to the speaker to change the volume, you change the volume from the instrument or the computer or whatever you are using! All the ports work on it; RCA, 1/4". Plug this thing up with everything you got and and use a bunch of stuff together at the same time and it works fine. It's got USB to the computer and you can use the speaker amp as a sound device, but an extra USB port into the device would be way cool.
Ease of Use: Way easy to use, nicely packed. Good instructions.
Sound: These are reference monitors, not room speakers. When you walk away from the sweet spot, you loose the push and you hear the ambient/room distortion on the perimeter of the sound field so it does not fill a room well. Though, I haven't eq'd this room and there's a feature in Windows Vista Premium and this speaker's function to do that. Also, in the computer control panel, you can play with the bass. It's clean, so...you can crank it. The highs are nothing like a $1,200.00 speaker but quite nice for one hundred bucks, nothing offensive. The separation is real fine. You can hear everything an engineer did to a recording on these speakers. I've heard some of the best of the best and Alesis never failed at anything I've tried thus far, even the low end stuff like this. I remember back in the day playing through a Alesis Quadreverb GT something or other of their's, way cool for the time. It's probably still usable.
Reliability: These speakers better last or I won't be happy! ;-(
Overall: For a hundred bucks, you'll be shocked at the quality if you know anything about speakers. I haven't tried anything else in the price range lately. So, I have no idea how it compares to anything else, but I'm gonna check out one more brand to compare it with.

Subject:They are really good
Quality: I used to mix on some old Kenwood stereo system which was crapy and i needed a cheap solution for mixing. after i bought these my mixes sound ten times better. these are indeed reference monitors. not much low end response but if you listen to professional recordings on these you will get a better idea of how to mix your bass in your tracks.
Features: dont really use the usb feature to much but im sure it works great for other people
Ease of Use: fairly easy to use.
Sound: like i said before the sound is great. very flat and very accurate. these have improved my the quality of my mixes. if your looking for something loud then dont buy these they arent loud and they arent really meant to be loud.
Reliability: had um for about three weeks and i dont see them breaking anytime soon
Overall: Money well spent. im not rich so i need bang for my buck and thats what i got.
