QUALITY:
These monitors appear to be well constructed. After 2 months of use, I have not seen any problems in the structure of the cabinets or graphics. All the connectors are tight, and switches are solid. I would like to see less plastic components, but at this price it's hard to complain.

FEATURES:
I am impressed with the effectiveness of the cut/boost switches on the back. It allowed me to tweak these for my studio's acoustic space without having to introduce an EQ into the line. Sweet relief.

EASE OF USE:
No brainer. I did cheat and read the manual. The rest was all ears. They were set up and tweaked in record time.

VALUE:
Considering what the competition offers at or near this price range, it is an outstanding value.

SOUND:
Clean responsive sound, with plenty to work with. You'll definitely be able to pull anything out of a mix with these to reference with. Sure, you could pay three times as muc

Subject:I depend on my Alesis 620's day after day.
Quality: rystal clear lows and crispy highs makes for a great day in the studio. No ear fatique with these monitors. I am a professional song writer and jingle arranger so my job depends on getting my product to the ears of my clients and if the sound is lacking, my reputation will be lacking. These 620's do the job for me day in and day out. I have used these for almost one year now and since I bought them here at AMS, my Mackies have turned into doorstops. Buy these speakers and never look back!
Features: I love powered monitors and these are no exception. Bi-amped with idiviual eq settings via rear switches. Gain control and the nice blue led power indicator turns red should you go into a clip.
Ease of Use: Instructions are simple as they come. Easy to set up and EQ.
Sound: The lows are clear as it gets even at high volumes. The highs really cut through the mix.
Reliability: Never had an issue in 11 months.
Overall: Buy these speakers. You will be glad you did and you'll be even happier with the spare change you have for other goodies here at AMS.

Subject:Nice sounds....when they work
Quality: No. The product worked for an hour and then the LED started blinking and no sound came out.
Features: There were a few switches on the back where you can change the strength of the mids lows and highs and adjust it to the room size.
Ease of Use: Plug and play. simple. Just make sure you know a little about acoustics so you can position them correctly and get the BEST sound out of them.
Sound: The tone is great. Clean, crisp, and deep bass.
Reliability: It didnt stand up for long. apparently there has been known issues with the circuit board in there that requires you to open it up and do some soldering..which should not be a part of the using process.
Overall: Overall, I was teased. I was very pleased at first, but then they let me down. To American Musical's credit, they did somewhat rectify the situation. I bought these through the scratch and dent section, but i didn't see a scratch or dent on it after some inspections. I went and bought another brand of monitors and they even paid the next day delivery service so I can get back on track quickly. I've been shopping with AMS for years and they are the best at customer service. If there is ever a wrong, they will do their best to make it right.
