QUALITY: I got my 1st one at a really good price since it was a returned item. The problem was the USB jack was broken (Note: Treat it right and don't be aggressive when connecting it.) Other than that, this is a really good item especially for someone looking for quality vocal and guitar recordings. Aside of the USB jack this mixer is pretty solid. Great for a beginner or anyone on a budget. The Phantom Power was just as good as my stand alone ART Mic Pre.
FEATURES: I went out and bought a Line 6 Spider II with the thinking that my guitar work would be alot better using a real amp and making it and what not. Well, as nice as the amp is, I could not achieve the sound I was looking for until I used the mixer's on board effects. Some are a little crazy but there are plenty of effects that sounded great. I recommend playing around with them till you find some you like. The best part of this mixer is the TRUE plug and play capabilities. I sold m

QUALITY: Seems pretty reliable. Lots of metal, good ergonomics. Connector layout is a little cramped but it is logically organized.
FEATURES: USB and Effects are nice additions. Consider this as a USB input for your pc with a decent mixer attached.
The addition of Cubase is nice too.
EASE OF USE: At first I couldn't monitor the mix the output from my recording software with the input channel. The block diagram in the manual helped me to figure out that you need to connect the Tape Out to the Tape In. Later I found something on the Alesis website about using Cubase with the MultiMix that mentioned connecting the Tape In to Out. Problem was that this document was not in the support section of the site. I found it only after a Google search.
Alesis support was NO help.
VALUE: I got a decent deal on mine so it was well worth it.
SOUND: Overall it is pretty quiet. However, it buzzes a little

QUALITY: Rated this feature at 4 due to the one little something rattling around on the inside. This would be considered a loose part/parts. My experience is to handel all electrictronic equipment with care and they should last as long as any other tool in my recording and performing tool box. The worst quality feature is the rattle.
FEATURES: The best feature about this product is its size. Being a one man band, this is mixer allows me to use all the input features that I need. I have control on my mic, guitar, effects, and am able to use everything with a small accustic amp. It is small enough to carry in my gig bag and does not weigh much so I can carry everything into my gig location with one trip.
EASE OF USE: Its simple to use with live performances and very easy to use with recordng to computer software. This allows me to create my own productions on the computer where its easy to make edits and produce high end produ

QUALITY: The knobs felt weak, but that's my only concern. It's a sturdy product. This was a B-Stock model and there wasn't a thing wrong with it.
FEATURES: The USB audio is beautiful. This is what I've been looking for for a long time
EASE OF USE: Quite easy. Wouldn't hurt to crack open the manual though. This is my first mixer (I'm 15), and I was recording within 30 minutes.
VALUE: Wow...I couldn't believ the price I got...although it was B-Stock, but you couldn't tell at all!
SOUND: USE GOLD-PLATED CABLES! Period! That's the only way you'll be satisfied...at least if you're me. It's an excellent sound. Headphone circuit's a little noisy, but it's alright. |
