Alesis Performance Pad with Onboard Drum Machine

The Alesis Performance Pad is a complete all-in-one percussion station.
Performance Pad features eight velocity-sensitive drum pads and a built-in electronic drum machine with professional sounds and features. You can create and record your own beats from scratch or play along with the built-in patterns. With Performance Pad, you can practice quietly with headphones, or plug into an amplifier.

Performance Pad includes inputs for a bass drum pedal, hi-hat pedal, and a Line-level input to connect a CD Player, iPod®, computer, or other audio device so that percussionists can play along with nearly any recorded mix. Built-in rhythm patterns are also included to compliment playing.

Dynamic Articulation™ technology is included to add nuance to the feel of every drum hit. In addition, there are industry-standard mounting holes on the bottom for easy attachment to an existing drum kit rack.

The 24-bit, high-quality headphone output on the Performance Pad insures a no-compromise playback experience without disturbing others. Connection to keyboards and sound modules is made simple thanks to the integrated MIDI output.

Subject:Awsome
Quality: The quality of the product is amazing and it looks really cool! The bounce from the pads is really good.
Features: It is all I was looking for to add to my acoustic set. A friend actually bought one also and we know have one that was added to the kit at our church. It adds flavor to songs we routinley played.
Sound: The sound is pretty. It does not sound cheesy or cheap. It does sound very good. No Bull.
Overall: It is a very good product for anyone looking to add more sounds to their acoustic kit and/or looking to have something quiter to practice with. The fact that you can input external audio and play along is great. You can also pre-record rythms that you can then play while practicing something esle or when playing whith your band/group while you play your acoustic.
Value: For the money it is worth it in my humble opinion. I am not rich and cant afford the more expensive products, which actually do not have some features this one does.
Appearance: Looks Cool!

Subject:Alesis Performance Drum Pad is a win.
Quality: It seems to be well constructed from a heavy duty plastic for the shell and a vulcanized rubber for the drum heads. It looks like something I'll be able to use for a long time.
Features: Probably the best feature is the ability to customize the sounds on the drum pad, including what base sound is assigned to each pad, pitch tuning, and R/L balance.
Ease of Use: I learned most of the functions in an hour. The manual is well laid out and has a table containing all of the assignable sounds.
Sound: The sound is very good. The dynamic articulation not only changes the volume with different strength hits but the overall sound changes as well, giving it a more realistic response than I expected.
Action: I immediately took to this and couldn't stop playing with it for hours.
Value: At $200 less than what I would consider a comparable drum pad.
