    Product Description

The AF66CE produces a ton of warmth and character in your acoustic tone combined with top-shelf fit and finish at a great price. With standard features normally only found on high-end instruments, the AF66CESHB delivers that huge acoustic sound you never thought you could afford.

At the heart of the AF66CESHB's amazing tone is its hand-sanded scalloped bracing, which allows the top to resonate more freely without compromising strength & stability. If you didn't think an inexpensive acoustic could put out this much bottom end, think again!

Alvarez's bi-level bridge puts more down-pressure on the genuine bone saddle, creating a more efficient energy transfer from the strings to the top, giving you more volume than you ever thought possible from a guitar in this price range. A bone nut & rosewood bridge pins keep the good vibrations happening. Alvarez also refined their neck profile, with a thinner, faster neck that plays easier, yet still feels solid in your hands.

The LR Baggs Element pickup and Stage Pro EQ funnels all of that tone directly into the PA. The AF66CESHB sets a new standard for pure acoustic power at an unprecedented price!

What is your opinion of this product?
Appearance: visually, this guitar is quite stunning. The mahogany cop and back are both exquisite. The back has a particularly beautiful figure to it. the sunburst finish compliments the guitar very well. The choice of binding, pickguard, and rosette are all very well done. Playability: the guitar plays very well. The action is suitably low for complicated runs, but high enough so that the sound really projects well.the fret work is very good, no issues with high or low frets anywhere on the neck. Also, the nut and bridge are both well cut. I think this guitar is best suited for fingerstyle playing, but it projects very well when played with a pick. Preamp/electronics: this guitar is light years ahead of where acoustic electric guitars were just a few years ago. The new pre and design is borrowed from the top of the line Alvarez guitars and it really does a fine job reproducing a true acoustic tone. There is no buzzing or hissing which is often prevalent with piezo electronic pickups. This design is much more natural sounding. There is ample room to dial in your particular tone via the onboard controls. lastly, the onboard tuner is quite accurate and the backlit screen is a nice touch on a dark stage.
