Ampeg SVT CL Classic Bass Guitar Amplifier Head

The Ampeg SVT CL Classic - it is an Ampeg!
Other companies keep trying to recreate the classic all-tube sound of the 60's and 70's Ampeg heads, but it's just not the same as the real deal - Ampeg. And they're the ONLY bass amp company that can make that claim. When you specify a Classic Series head, it's not "like an Ampeg"... it is an Ampeg.

Ampeg Classic Series Heads are designed for players who are looking for the authentic, vintage Ampeg tube sound that has earned the respect of the industry. For the ultimate experience, it's the Ampeg SVT-CL - the Classic, as it's known in the business. There is no equivalent to its 300 watt output courtesy of six 6550 power tubes.

Subject:The last bass head you'll need to buy.
Overall:

QUALITY:
Very solid construction and it looks great!

FEATURES:
This has 3 band EQ plus 2 switches for extra treble or a cut of mids. It could use an extra mid in place of the 2 switches. It has biasing dials on the back so when tubes need to be changed, it is very easy to adjust.

EASE OF USE:
Stupid easy to use. Experimentation is the key to getting the most out of this head.

VALUE:
$1500 is a lot of money, but it is so well spent. I don't plan on buying another head for a very very long time.

SOUND:
I run this into an Ampeg 4x10 pro series and an Eminence 1x15. It is thunderous.

STYLE:
Impending Doom Prog Metal

OVERALL:
It took some time to get this dialed in where is fit in with my band, but once it got there, it was awesome. Tubes are great! At concert levels, you get this grind when you really start digging into the
