Great Guitar!
What is your overall opinion of this product?
This is a great guitar. I wanted a 24.5" scale guitar with a Floyd Rose and took a chance on this Rich Bich. Could not be happier. This is a lot of guitar for the money. I've played guitars that cost twice as much but are not as good.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
The build quality is very good. Can't find any flaws. The Floyd Rose stays in tune great. Really nice fretwork. I can set the action very low with no buzzing for choked notes.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The neck is a 60s style, fast with a thin profile but the fretboard is wide. Feels wider than my Gibsons. Very easy to play fast on this guitar. The split coil tones are really good. The 5-way switch doesn't do much for me. I usually leave it in one setting.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
The pickups are hot and the guitar is on the brighter side. Really cuts through the mix with my band. Lots of sustain. Sustains like my Les Pauls.
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
Lot of guitar for the money. I've played & owned guitars that cost twice as much but were not as good as this Rich Bich.
How was the action out of the box?
Action was decent but I immediately did a setup to my taste. I adjusted the truss rod to flatten the neck (had too much relief). I set the action very low and there are no buzzes anywhere. Plays very fast.
