The Behringer ADA8000 is a state-of-the art 8-channel A/D and D/A converter with 8 built-in IMP microphone preamplifiers. This ultra-compact 19" unit gives lets you connect analog audio signals directly to a multitrack recorder or similar equipment via the integrated ADAT interface - and needs only one rack space for this purpose! In return, you can even connect the digital signal of a multitracker via ADAT to the eight analog line outputs of your ADA8000.
Of course, the Behringer ADA8000 is a perfect expansion of the Behringer DDX3216 digital mixing console, and lets you turn your DDX3216 into a full-fledged 32-channel console. Signal conversion can be processed at 44.1 or 48 kHz with 24-bit resolution. The ADAT inputs and outputs can be operated independently as long as there is an identical wordclock signal. The integrated A/D and D/A converters ensure optimal signal conversion without any distortion or signal deterioration.
At the heart of the ADA8000 is its preamp section with eight ultra low-noise IMP "Invisible" Mic Preamps. Both 44.1 and 48kHz sample rate processing and extensive connections turn the ADA8000 into a flexible recording system control center for any studio: eight analog inputs and outputs plus an optical ADAT IN/OUT interface that can be routed to each of the line outputs guarantee professional flexibility. All mic/line inputs can be routed to the ADAT output. Additionally, external sample rate synchronization is possible via wordclock or the ADAT input. Eight audio channels with combined XLR and 1/4" inputs are available at the front facilitating flexible configuration of recording sessions without having to rewire an existing setup. Balanced inputs and outputs guarantee low-noise signal management. The intensity of all input channels can be adjusted at the rack module, and can be muted or directly forwarded to an output. This allows the ADA8000 to be used as stand-alone preamplifier and audio mixer for a plethora of applications.
