Behringer B215XL PA Speaker

What musicians loved about the B215 plus the same bass and treble/mid transducers found in Behringer's wildly popular B215A active versions for even better sound and power handling. The Behringer Eurolive B215XL combines the best of each plus much more. With integrated overload protection circuitry, they arrive ready to push it to the limit without putting their high-or low-frequency drivers in danger.

Triumphant transducers
Every stitch of these loudspeakers is built to deliver, but the fact is that their transducers (woofers and tweeters) are the only part you actually hear. While some manufacturers are okay with putting off-the-shelf transducers in their boxes, Behringer custom-designs and builds theirs from scratch. Not only do they wind their own voice coils, Behringer grows the trees that are processed into the paper pulp that becomes the cones. They even machine the frames and backplates. BEHRINGER's quality is truly under control.

Big sound, lightweight, low price
Big here, small there, lots of this, light on that—everyone's got their preferences, but the EUROLIVE B215XL has proportions we can all agree upon. These loudspeakers pack a clean, punchy wallop (and can handle up to 1000 Watts), they are easy to lift by their recessed handles (38.7 lbs) and are available at insanely low prices. Who wouldn't want to hook up with one of these beauties?

Get on the stick…or get on down
The B215XL is perfect either as part of a PA system or as an onstage monitor. If the situation calls for a PA, mount the speakers on stands via the 35mm pole socket. From there, send a line from the MAIN OUT of a mixer (such as a XENYX 1202FX) to a power amplifier (like the EUROPOWER EP1500). Finally, attach B215XL to each of the amp's outputs. These loudspeakers have inputs for both professional speaker cable and 1/4 Inch cable. Because these loudspeakers have two parallel inputs, you can connect up to two of them to any channel on a power amp.

But they don't have to be confined to an upright position. Just lay them on their sides for use as a floor monitor. You'll find that they tilt to the ideal angle for onstage monitor wedge applications.

Subject:blown woofer after 5 nights of use
Quality: well i blew a woofer in 5 nights of use, karaoke was fine, dance music well "whoomp there it is" blown woofer. amp too big? maybe. did i push them too hard? heck ya! my problem? took me 3 months after ordering to use them in my gig setting then 5 nights to blow the woofer, can't send them back to ams.. must use behringer warranty? what will it cost to send them to washington? gosh you blew a woofer? no warranty on stupidity? right? instead of spending money to ship to and from behringer who may or may not fix I am going to replace the woofer myself and upgrade the woofer. fyi:behringer brags about german devlopment of these products if you visit their website!! awesome!! i'm excited!! too bad they don't mention the made in china stickers on the speakers when you get them out of the box??? not happy about that
Features: i originally ordered these speakers for a karaoke setup, they looked like they would be easy to use and weight wise easy to move around which they are.
Ease of Use: very easy to use, handles are nice
Sound: they sounded pretty good for 199 buck ea. ok. karaoke was fine, for more bass? be careful cranking these up. I didn't have time to mess with the warranty part of these. I ordered the jbl jrx115's to replace these "ams" was great got them shipped overnight on payment plan. the jbl's put out twice the sound, i love the jbl's!!!!! plus hmmmm tested and made in usa!!! don't be stupid like me, don't go cheap with the behringers unless you are going to baby them? maybe I got a lemon woofer? don't know but the jbl's put out so much more sound and better bass my amp is quite bored like it has nothing to do. pushing the behringers during dance breaks the air blowing out of my amp was quite warm/hot. now with the jbl's cool-warm air from the amp I can't believe the difference.
Value: they sounded pretty good in my basement.lol. i am running these with the behringer 2500 amp and behringer mixer. problem: I am starting my first karaoke system, i ordered these speakers with my other equipment 3 months before I started my actual gig in a bar setting. once i got things set up in the bar I guess i had to push these a little harder than I thought to get the sound i wanted out of them. I was on my fifth night of karaoke and blew a woofer out during a dance break .

Subject:Best Bang For Your Buck!
Quality: This is well made from the inside out. I've jammed these speakers for 4+ hours at several gigs and never had distortion or any other technical issues. If you use the proper amp (500 watt minimum) and hook up all your processors/mixer and cables the correct way, you should be able to run flawless gigs. It's perfect for karaoke/dj use for small to medium clubs.
Features: The material used on the exterior was a selling point for me. Durable plastic, not ugly carpet like a lot of PA speakers.
Ease of Use: Come on....how hard is it to plus a speaker cable in the back of one of these?
Sound: Tone is great. Again, it comes down to knowing all of your gear and properly hooking up everything and of course, "EQ"ing the correct way.
Value: For $199 these speakers are a good value.
