Behringer

The Behringer BDI21 Bass Amp Modeler Direct Recording Preamp DI Box combines the features of an active DI (direct injection) box with our proprietary tube emulation circuitry. It’s like having a truckload of vintage tube amps right at your toes! The Blend control allows you to mix the amount of tube emulation you want with your direct bass signal. And if you don’t want to use the tube emulation feature, just step on the switch and the ADI21 functions as a superb active DI box.

With its dedicated DRIVE, TREBLE, BASS, LEVEL, and PRESENCE dials, the BDI21 DI box goes above and beyond, giving you vintage tube tones for some funked-up slap, gonzo overdrive and everything in-between. You can use the BDI21 as a recording output DI, with tube emulation, or as a standard active DI box, when running in bypass mode. The output is laid out on 1/4 inch TS or balanced, gold-plated XLR connectors. There's also a ground lift switch that eliminates typical ground loop hum problems. You can power this bad boy with a 9V battery or our PSU-SB DC power supply (not included).

When it comes to DI boxes, you can go with simple injection, or plug into the BDI21 to add some badass tube-like fuel injection to your bass. Try the V-TONE BASS BDI21 at your local BEHRINGER dealer and find out just how great your bass can sound.

The Most Bang for Your Buck
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
While it is built fine, it is made of plastic so I don't feel it would handle the rigors of being stomped on regularly. That said, it is part of my tone so I don't use the foot switch much on it.
Features
What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
It has all the main features of the Sansamp that it is cloning.
Sound
How is the tone?
This is where it really shines. I find this pedal to be equal in it's general tone to the Sansamp, but I find the Behringer's distortion/overdrive tone to be superior. It is a lot less harsh and cold as the Sansamp making it easier to blend in with my clean signal to get the perfect tone. For the money, there is no better option. I would easily pay for 5 of these as opposed to 1 Sansamp. :)
General
Your general opinion of this product.
This product may be the best bang for the buck ever. It gives me all the bite and growl I was looking for while truly making my tone sound simply awesome! Since I have started using this at practice, my fellow band mates have commented on how bad a$$ I sound now. I love this pedal plain and simple.
