Behringer Virtualizer Pro DSP2024P Digital Effects Processor

How could Behringer improve on the amazing Virtualizer Pro? They started by adding even more of what musicians and engineers loved in the original with the Behringer Virtualizer Pro FX Processor. First of all, it features 71 brand-new, impressive effects including ring modulator, lo-fi, vinylizer and voice canceller - plus numerous additional dynamic and psychoacoustics processing algorithms, distortions, amp and tube simulations, sampler, vocoder, and much more. Add up to 7 adjustable parameters, high and low EQ, 11 serial or parallel effect combinations, true stereo processing with most algorithms and an improved user interface, and you've got the best Virtualizer Pro that ever hit the market. The Virtualizer Pro includes 100 factory presets and 100 user memory locations, extensive MIDI implementation and XLR & TRS inputs & outputs.

With Behringer's new model VIRTUALIZER PRO they’ve recreated a classic, making a great effects unit much better. First of all, it features 71 brand-new, impressive effect algorithms, giving you powerful modulation, amp simulation, distortion and special effects as well as effective dynamic and psychoacoustics processing and equalization on top of Behringer's renowned wave-adaptive VIRTUAL ROOM reverb algorithms. Add up to 7 adjustable parameters, high and low EQ, 11 serial or parallel effect combinations, true stereo processing with most algorithms and an improved user interface, and you’ve got the best VIRTUALIZER PRO that ever hit the market.

71 New Algorithms
New VIRTUAL ROOM reverb algorithms as well as several modulation and special effects previously only found in our MODULIZER PRO, such as ring modulator, lo-fi, vinylizer and voice canceller. Plus numerous additional dynamic and psychoacoustics processing algorithms, distortions, amp and tube simulations, sampler, vocoder and much more.

11 Effect Combinations
Favorite modulation effects like chorus, flanger, pitch or tremolo combined with reverb or delay algorithms.

Enhanced User Editability
The DSP2024P allows you to edit up to 7 parameters per preset, giving you extra power to customize your effect settings. In addition, each preset offers an additional high and low EQ section. The 100 factory presets arm you with a useful selection and serve as a basis for your own creations, storable in 100 user memory locations.

Improved User Interface
Logical grouping of parameters, along with the combination of encoders, buttons, LED’s and an easily readable LED display, make operating the DSP2024P a breeze.

Subject:A great extra effects unit
Overall: If you are on a budget, and can only buy one reverb/effects unit, this isn't it. If on the other hand you have a little extra money, and want to increase the flexability of your studio, or free up some of your gear for other tasks, this is a good buy. For very little money you get a little box with a lot of capability. There was a LOT more processing capability in this unit than I expected (and I expected a lot). The downside is I find it difficult to access all that processing power from the limited number of multi-function switches (which of course can not be clearly labled since they have different funtions for every effect) on the front panel. I almost always have the manual out when I use this unit in order to get the most out of it. I tend to use it as a spot processor for occasional use when I want to free up my main reverb, or when I want to use one of the dozens of special effects this unit is capable of (but you probably won't use often). It is great to have access to all

Subject:Good For Beginers
Overall: For a little bit more I could have gotten a much better FX Prosesor. I was expecting more FX editing capabilities , but it's basically pretty good over all, just to conect it to your Mixer and forget about it.

Subject:nice gear for a small price
Overall: virtualizer pro has very clear sounding effects and you can manipulate the settings to your standards. it would be nice to be able to chain effects together and store them but for the money its a decent piece of equipment.

Subject:Almost not worth the money.
Overall: As prior reviewers have hinted @: put a little more down and get a better processor. This one has some decent effects but, they can't be chained, controlled via MTC or run dual-mono. I'm somewhat disappointed with this unit.
