So you love the bite, twang and snap of single-coil pickups, but can't stand the nasty hum that comes along for the ride? Plug into the Behringer NR300 Noise Reduction Effects Pedal and kiss unwanted noise goodbye for good! One of the best noise reduction pedals on the market today.

Dynamic Duo
The NR300 actually functions as two pedals in one. In REDUCTION mode, you can adjust the dedicated THRESHOLD and DECAY dials to keep all your tone and dynamics intact, but effectively eliminate hum from the picture. In MUTE mode, the NR300 becomes a super-quiet on/off switch for your instrument.

Ease of Use
Operation couldn’t be easier. The NR300 features two LEDs—one to indicate when it's activated, another to indicate when it's suppressing noise. You can power this hum killer with a 9 V battery or our PSU-SB DC power supply (not included). And the top-quality on/off switch maintains absolutely noise-free operation.

Value
Lose the hum, but hold onto your precious single-coil tone with the ultra-affordable NOISE REDUCER NR300. Get one at American Musical Supply today.

Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
The Behringer NR300 is a fantastic noise reducer/gate for the price. It is essentially a BOSS NS-2 at a quarter of the cost. I run 2 extensive pedal boards (1 pre and 1 post) and each of them have this little white box sitting toward the end. If you use it to "reduce" noise, it works great. If you do it to eliminate noise, you will be disappointed (as with any noise reduction pedal...yes, even the famed Decimator can and will kill your tone). Let's be real here, the people in the audience have no clue what "tone suck" is. All they care about is a great sounding show. Don't believe the hype from the fine cork-sniffers at TGP. I don't see myself ever deciding to upgrade to the metal housed version of this pedal (NS-2). Having owned (and sold) a Decimator, I know what works and doesn't work with my setup. For me, the NR300 works...and with the money I saved not spending over $200 on gates, I was able to add an extra couple of fun noise makers into my signal.
Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This product is made very well. Some people will immediately dismiss them for being made of plastic. That is their loss. The non-tone snobs will know better. This is a pedal that you leave on all the time. You wont be engaging the pedal 10 times during a show or rehearsal. The only gripe I have is the adhesive used to hold the rubber to the bottom of the pedal is like freaking impossible to remove. I remove all the rubber backs from my pedals and mount industrial strength velcro instead. The backing on both of my NR300 pedals was removed via an X-acto knife and around 20 minutes of solid whittling.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Again, it is a "set it and forget" type pedal. It does suck some tone on my passive instruments (my EMG guitars work just fine), but it is really negligible when compared to the hiss it removes.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
It is a nice, clean matte white. Simple, understated, yet classy, at the same time...C'mon, it's an effects box. Who really cares?
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
This may be the real surprise. They have both stood up to several rehearsals and gigs without fail. I've had other much more expensive pedals crap out on me mid set, but these have just kept on reducin' noise with no issues whatsoever. Yes, they are plastic. Yes, they will break if you throw them down a flight of stairs. They will work like champs if you treat them how a musician should treat their equipment.
