The Behringer SX 3242FX is designed to meet the needs of studio and live mixing applications with a comprehensive set of features & sound modification tools.
The SX3242FX Analog Mixer is a 32 channel, four bus mixer that features XENYX microphone preamps. Mono input channels feature three-band, semi-parametric mid-range EQ with Neo-classic British response. Stereo input channels provide four-band equalization. Each input has four aux sends; with two sends switchable between pre/post fader, for a flexible mix of monitor and effects applications.

External signal processing racks can be largely eliminated, thanks to the SX Series’ two integrated effects processors and stereo 9-band graphic EQ. One-hundred 24-bit / 96kHz studio-quality effects presets can be called-up and assigned to one or both internal effects buses. Main or Monitor output EQ is set and fine-tuned with the intuitive FBQ Feedback Detection display.

When external processing is required, the SX Series provides extensive insert patch-points for input channels and main outputs. The Master section offers features such as multiple aux and stereo returns, switchable SIP / PFL monitoring, Talkback, metering and more. An internal auto-ranging power supply (100 – 240 V), gold-plated XLR output connectors and rugged steel construction ensure that the SX Series consoles will travel anywhere.

Quality: I think this product is of very good quality, i have never had any problems with it so far.It seems to be very durable even though if you are going to to be traveling with it it would be smart to buy a case for it.
Features: This mixer has some very good featers to it. The best one is all of the modeling preamps. When i recording somebody with it i dont have to hook any of my effect pedals to it i can just adjust the effect that i want right on the mixer. Pretty much you just plug in and play.That is very usefull. Also the built in Equalizer comes in handy to give a variety of different sounds.
Ease of Use: Any kind of mixer is not that easy to use if you dont know what your doing. The instructions that come with it are informative for the basic features of the mixer.It would be best for someone to teach you who has expierience or to buy a manuel about mixers if you dont have any expierience. But overall this mixer is not that hard to use once you get the hang of it. After that its a walk in a park to use.
Sound: I have never used this mixer live but i have produced a record and it has very professional sound to it. You can make it sound however you want with all the different presets.
Reliability: My mixer has never left my studio so far so it is still in mint condition, but i imagine that it could stand up to wear and tear of traveling.
Overall: This is money well spent on this mixer compared to some of the others. It is very good quality and i enjoy using it all the time. Even if i am not recording i like to experiment to see what other hidden things i can figure out with it.

Subject:This Mixer is very well designed!
Quality: The Behringer SX 3242FX is very well designed it will meet all your needs for studio and live mixing applications. The routing is unbelievable for a mixer in ths price range. The pre amps are ok but you have to be careful not to overload them or their will be a huge repair bill once the damage is done. With a comprehensive set of features and sound modification tools, outboard processors are really not needed. Very dependable mixer!
Features: I use the aux send 1 / 2 for vocal processing preferably to a fully editable chorus or multi effect unit. Return ch 1s output of the outboard effect unit to an available channel pan the channel slightly left. Return ch 2s output of the outboard effect unit to an available channel pan the channel slightly right. Don’t press the pre-fader button. You want the faders to control the volume bring them up just under the main vocal level. Now one vocalist sounds like three. This is a nice trick for live or your project studio some sound engineers use flanger on the vocal be careful don’t add to much.
Ease of Use: It may take some time for you to get use to the routing features but its time well spent.
Sound: This mixer is the best buy I have made for my Studio. The tone is fully adjustable!
Reliability: I have been using it for two years now with great results.
Overall: Bottom line once you use this mixer you will never want to be without it.
