Blue Microphones Snowball USB Condenser Microphone

The Blue Mics Snowball USB Microphone is the world’s first professional USB mic!
The Snowball finally provides you with a USB mic that’s not only easy to use, but sounds as good on your desktop as it does in a professional recording studio. Whether you’re recording a guitar at your kitchen table or a complete band in the studio, the Snowball can capture it with detail unheard of before in a USB mic.

The Snowball is a direct plug n’ play mic that connects to either a Mac or PC – no additional software is needed. With its dual capsule design and unique three-pattern switch (cardioid, cardioid with -10dB pad and omni), the Snowball can handle everything from soft vocals to the loudest garage band — and it’s ideal for podcasting. Check it out and you’ll see why it’s the coolest mic in town.

Quality:
Subject:Great Value in a simple package
Quality: Very well-made, very dependable, although I haven't traveled with it. It appears to be highly resistant to dust.
Features: Switchable mic patterns
Ease of Use: This is a very simple, plug & play mic. It took about a minute to set up AND make a test recording. I'm using it for spoken word only, and it totally fits the bill. Desktop mic stand has rubber feet that insulate extraneous noise, and so far I haven't needed the shock mount (optional). Very attractive Space Age design makes it a pleasure to display on my desk and is also a conversation piece for clients. It is a bit heavy and bulky for travel, so I would recommend a different mic if portability is desired. Overall an excellent mic, really great value, recommended.
Sound: Tone is very good for spoken word. I haven't used it for instruments or singing.
Value: Excellent value!

Subject:Great plug in and record usb Mic !
Quality: Seems sturdy enough built .. Dont think I would go Roger Daultrey with it thou.
Features: Cool retro space ship vibe going on ..
Ease of Use: As easy as Pie .. Just plug in and away we go !
Sound: Was way surprised how good this sounded ... Captured some loud live Drums and Bass but also some Acoustic Guitar. It wont beat up your Neumanns but for some dead simple demo work this cant be topped.
Value: Very good Value overall !
