Boss FRV1 1963 Fender Spring Reverb Pedal

The legendary sound of the 1963 Fender Spring Reverb returns as a modern stompbox - a classic reborn. Boss and Fender USA have collaborated to create the FRV1, a stunning recreation of the legendary ’63 Fender Reverb via COSM technology. The FRV1 puts that timeless tube-driven reverb sound under your foot in a tough, reliable compact pedal.

A timeless classic — the Fender Spring Reverb is the sound that launched the surf-music phenomenon, and is a staple of rockabilly, country, and blues. Later, it became commonplace in grunge and other modern genres. Now the same legendary sound can be had in an affordable, rugged compact pedal.

Subject:Gotta have it
Quality: Very well made; rock solid. Typical of Boss Pedal quality.
Sound: Great tone flexibility -- easy to get it too bright, though.
Reliability: Bought it in August 2009 -- Have been pleased with its bullet-proof performance to date.
Overall: Great sound; responsive. What Fender Reverb is about.
Playability and Feel: Very usable controls. A little dwell takes you a long way with the mix know providing uber amounts of 'verb.
Tone: Lush; "Springy"; expansive. Can be very bright if you want it to be and wet as a sponge.
Finish: What a cool vibe -- using the old "brown" Fender color. Awesome.
Action: Great.
Skill Level: Intermediate
