Subject:Best Overdrive Pedal I've Played Through
Quality: It's Boss. Been using Boss pedals for 15yrs with no problems. They're built like tanks! Although, a bullet might be able to pierce it, but you get the point.
Reliability: Haven't used this particular pedal long enough to experience any problems, but every other boss pedal I have has never given me any issues, live or practice.
Overall: Excellent Pedal. I own/have owned many distortion pedals/overdrives. So far, for a stock pedal, I haven't heard anything that preserves your tone like the OD-3 does. My TS-9 sounds like crap compared to this. I'm actually about to modify the TS-9, because stock they're just tone sucking imitators or their former self. If you don't want to mess around with mods and want a solid stock transparent tone saving OD, BUY THIS, you won't regret it.
Playability and Feel: Simple, Clean, Easy to use, like most Boss pedals.
Tone: This is the best part, a guy that sells mod kits on the internet said, "This is by far the best sounding Boss Over Drive right out of the box." This is what sold me on it, and he is right. It's a transparent tone saving wonder. Some people say it adds too much bass, maybe so, but, I'd rather have more bass than less. When it's less it's thinning your tone not adding to it.
Finish: Well finished. Again, it's Boss, or really Roland I should say. The QC is always great.
