Brace Audio DWG 1000 Digital Wireless Guitar System

Brace Audio DWG 1000 Digital Wireless Guitar System; Get your full signal to your amp with pristine quality digital audio.
The DWG 1000 converts your signal, in its full form, to a strong digital signal and sends it from the transmitter module to the receiver without worry of signal loss. With its 2.4G Hz spread spectrum transmission, the converted audio signal is passed wirelessly to the receiver where it’s converted back to a reflection of the original signal with all of the original instrument frequencies intact. Brace Audio’s design gives you a hassle free signal that is without the hiss, crackle, signal loss, and RF interference you will find in outdated UHF/VHF systems.

Brace Audio DWG 1000 Features
  • Freedom to perform without the restriction of guitar cables
  • Operates without the signal loss and interference you find in analog systems
  • Up to four units can operate at one time
  • 2.4G Hz spread spectrum transmission
  • Recommended for both electric and acoustic-electric guitarists
Guitar cables have been known to contribute to signal loss, the DWG 1000 is recommended for guitarists from all sides of the spectrum. Both electric and acoustic-electric guitarist will benefit with a better over all sound, so the DWG 1000 wireless system is not just for not just for artists who use stage acrobatics in their act.

Enjoy the freedom of performing without the restriction of guitar cables. Never again will you be limited by cable length, worried about yanking the cable out of your amp, or mistakenly dragging your effects boxes across the stage. And up to four units can operate at one time, so everyone in the band can use one.

Sound:
Subject:Sounds good, but there's latency
Quality: Made well enuff for it's general usage.
Features: Quiet is best feature. Would use angled plugs on inputs.
Ease of Use: Very easy to use.
Sound: Very Quiet. Sounds good tho bass is filtered a bit, midrange is slightly boosted, treble is fairly faithful. Tested on Fender NOS Blues Jr, '95 HRD & Peavy Classic 50 212. Problem is delay in signal sufficient to sound like a slapback without the dry sound, just wet. Somewhat disconcerting at low acoustic performance levels. Throws me off during fast runs, nuances, etc. I had anticipated using 2 sets - one from guitar to floor pedals, other from pedals to amps. Would be impossible to use with the sort of delay 2 of them would produce. Radio(VHF/UHF) is still faster than digital.
Value: Depends on what you need.

Ease of Use:
Quality:
Sound:
Subject:BRACE AUDIO DWG 1000 Wireless (for guitar)
Quality: The cases are made of plastic and could be thicker and stronger, the size is very convenient and can be clipped or pocketed easily
Features: I agree that the unit needs a ON/OFF switch. It has 'auto' on/off when the unit is plugged in and I too have run down batteries forgetting. If you forget to unplug your pedals 'input' jack cable and run your pedal batteries down, you most likely will with this unit also. Ideally would be if they kept the auto on/off, but had a master on/off switch accessed seperatly with a switch. Then if the master switch were on, and you plugged in, it would power up. If the master switch was off, it would be off regardless of it being plugged in. More features = higher price.
Ease of Use: Very easy to use.
Sound: These sound good. Although in my experience, a friend of mine has the Line 6 X2 units that used to cost a lot more and are now the same price. The X2 units have a clearer sound, longer range and sound better in the area where we had both hooked up. But each enviroment, amp, guitar and cable will affect either of these units so it was just a one time event, I wish I had bought the X2 units instead now that they are the same price. They were 100 bucks more and now are the same as these Brace units.

Ease of Use:
Quality:
Sound:
Subject:Perfect sound reproduction, no noise introduced into the path.
Quality: The plastic a bit thin for the devices and the belt clip, but I expect that is to keep the unit light weight. I am a little leary of the manner in which the belt clips fasten to the devices as they just snap into slots on the sides of the unit. So far I have used the unit at 10 rehearsals and 5 gigs without any issues. The snap-into-slots do, however, make for very quick battery changes (I normally put in fresh batteries before each gig but I had two new duracells fail at a gig last week on the amp side unit and the low battery led tipped me off in time. I was able to change the batteries between songs right on stage with only about a 30 second delay in the show). So I'd say the jury is still out regarding long term quality.
Features: The best feature is the sound quality. I am split in my decision as to whether this product needs an on/off switch (it was designed to turn on when the cord is plugged in and turns off when the cord is removed. This will keep me from forgetting to turn the switch on, but if I forget to unplug the cord from the unit during breaks it will uslessly eat battery power).
Ease of Use: It is very easy to use, just put the batteries in, plug one end of the cords into the devices and the other ends into the guitar and amp and play.
Sound: I did side by side comparisons with my bass and my guitar both wirelessly and wired and I, and my band mates, could not tell the diffence in sounds.
