Carl Martin OctaSWITCH Selector Pedal

The Carl Martin Octaswitch Effects Selector Pedal makes it easy to select multiple pedal combinations with a signal footswitch.
The concept is simple….take your eight favorite effects pedals, plug them into the eight individual loops (all true-bypass gold relays) on the Octaswitch, and then designate what effects you want connected to each of 8 banks via the worlds simplest and smallest DIP switches located over top of each of the eight bank switches.

So if your effects are plugged into Loops 1-8, you simply turn the DIP switch ‘on’ for each of the effects you want in Bank 1, and then Bank 2 etc up to Bank 8. You can use one or all of the effects in each bank. The Octaswitch is mono-in and mono/stereo out, with a choice of a buffered signal or not. The unit is powered by dual 9v batteries, or a regulated power supply and is housed in an all metal case with heart-stopping (ok, well almost) graphics.

The same basic options found in the digitally controlled units the famous guys are using, at a fraction of the cost!

Subject:Octa-switch rates its name
Quality: Seems well built
Sound: Seems to have no sound of its own. Be careful of mixing device chain/loops... its too easy to mix modes with line level in effects loops of amp and guitar level fx...
Reliability: Haven't had it very long... but the I/O jacks seem a bit wimpy for heavy road use
Overall: Good unit... flexible and intuitive... EASY to set up. Sensitive to power-supply noise (with buffer engaged). Input jack seems lacking in "grip" for plug... my plug keeps working its way loose from jack. Tried various types of 1/4 in plugs... same results.
Playability and Feel: Works fine... but routing is not releasable... one must use one patch to act as bypass.
Tone: No issues with tone
Finish: Nice
Action: N/A
Skill Level: Intermediate
