The
Celestion G1250GL Lynchback Guitar Speaker incorporates the kind of detail and harmonic complexity found in vintage models of the late 1960s, combined with increased headroom, and the attitude, aggression and mid-band character of some of the more modern Celestion speakers. The George Lynch Signature series guitar speaker is based on the Greenback-G12M driver but with George Lynch's modifications. George did not want to change the incredible sound and tone of the Greenback G12M, but needed more power handling, so Celestion engineering modified the voice coil just a tad and boosted the Lynchback's power handling to 50 watts with no change of the classic tone of the Greenback.

In 2010, George challenged Celestion to build his dream guitar loudspeaker.
