Product Description

The Celestion Rocket 50 Guitar Speaker is a great all around 12 inch replacement for cabinets or combos. Lots of high end harmonics and smooth mid bass with no boomy bottom to clog the rippin’ top end. 50 watts, 8 ohms.

Look inside the back of a standard 4x12 inch guitar cabinet and you may well find Rocket 50s bolted inside. This speaker sounds fantastic with any playing style... and won’t break the bank.

Name Brand Speaker Package That Is Worth The Money?
General
What is your overall opinion of this product?
After doing research to find the best value for the money, I decided to purchase this 4 speaker Celestion speaker package. Rated at 50 watts per unit, I installed them into two 2X12 birch speaker cabinets, with closed backs, and front porting. Tested with a variety of tube amps, such as a Fender Super Amp Head, high gain producing 65 watts of power; a 1965 Fender Twin Reverb Amp that produces 85 watts, a 50 watt Marshall, another 60 watt Fender, and a couple of Fender Bassman heads, I found that the sound quality remained consistently better than the original speakers. As a package, each speaker costs $35, which is not very expensive for a 50 watt unit, that works well with both vintage and high gain amplifiers.
