Celestion Rocket 50 Guitar Speaker

The Celestion Rocket 50 Guitar Speaker is a great all around 12” replacement for cabs or combos. Lots of high end harmonics and smooth mid bass with no boomy bottom to clog the rippin’ top end. 50 watts, 8 ohms.

Look inside the back of a standard 4x12 and you may well find Rocket 50s bolted inside. This speaker sounds fantastic with any playing style... and won’t break the bank.

Subject:low db sensitivity not an issue at all
Quality: workmanship appears to be great, everybody bags on chinese made stuff but it seem to be following the trend of japanese made stuff and getting quite good in many instances
Sound: great clarity and the brightness is easily controlled by the amp settings but it is there if you want it
Reliability: have not had them very long but no problems yet
Overall: I was slightly worried that the 95 db sensitivity rating compared to 100 db on most other guitar speakers would result in a very underpowered weak sounding cabinet but i did a side by side comparison between a cab loaded w/4 rocket 50s and another cab that had speakers with a 98 db rating and switching back and forth and from 10 feet away i could not tell a volume difference with the naked ear in fact the clarity of the rocket 50s made it seem a little louder all with the amp set at the same volume level and both cabs wired at 16 ohms, I am not an electrical engineer but this was my observation i am very happy with the volume clarity and especially the great price of these speakers I play lead guitar covering everything from the eagles to shadows fall.

Subject:Great speaker for the money
Quality: Pretty light magnet and light weight metal basket - but good enough.
Reliability: I've only had it for a short time - so far all is well. I have 4 loaded in a Marshall 1960A with a Marshall Superlead 100
Overall: Very impressed with this speaker. While the greenbacks and vintage 30s might rate a 10 and this one might rate a 7, for the money it's a very good sounding speaker. I will certainly buy more
