Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
The quality of the Cordoba Cadete is great. I would consider it to be not only well made, but very dependable. It's also backed by a 3 year manufacturer warranty.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
I have owned this guitar for just under 2 months, so I can't say how well it will eventually hold up but, based on its quality, it seems like it should hold up quite well if taken care of.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Overall, I love this guitar. It's been a while since I've owned one, and I'm no expert on them, but I know enough to say the sound and quality are great! I'm so glad I got the 3/4 size. I was a little worried that it would be too small, instead it's almost a little too big for my small hands. I'm a female senior citizen with small hands and wondered if I should have actually gotten the 1/2 size Requinta. The only thing that held me back from that was my concern that the tonal quality wouldn't be there on that size model. This is the first classical guitar I've owned and I'm very pleased that I chose that. My experience with steel string acoustic guitars was not as satisfactory in tonal quality. The bottom line is I'm very pleased with this make and model. I don't think this model would be too small for most people, although a large man might be cramped in the fingering. I wouldn't hesitate to buy either this guitar or from AmericanMusical again, everything was great.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The feel of this guitar is good. I was a little disappointed I wasn't able to put a strap on it to help me support the weight but it's not too heavy to do so without. I'm of slight build and can handle it fine but it is still large on my lap and for me to get my arms around it all. Playability is excellent and the strings can be adjusted easily while playing.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The stain job on the Cordoba Cadete is of excellent quality. It looks like an expensive and high quality guitar and I'm treating it as such to keep it that way.
Action
How was the action out of the box?
I haven't played a guitar in many years so I can't say that I can compare the action to another guitar. Overall, I thought it handled well out of the box.
