| Subject: | Best Valued Tube Head Of The Year!! |
| Quality:
| The V100h seems to be made very well being a less expensive tube amp...Spring tube Holders to keep the tubes from moving around...
An internal Fan to keep everything cool durning those long sets
and an Ohm selector switch to use various cabinets |
| Features:
| Everything from the Normal and Bright Inputs to the Presence Control...Trust me this amps Blows the Peavey ValveKing out of the Water....Plus it has one more Pre-amp Tube |
| Sound:
| Superb...Sure this thing isn't a Rectifier but it gets the job done! Overdrive is Perfect for Classic to Hard Rock....*Metal Users* Need to run an Overdrive pedal in front of it to make it Sing...Our sound man noticed a big improvement in guitar sound
its first night out...noting clarity & Attack as key points to this awesome budget priced amp... |
| Reliability:
| I've had this amp for less than a month...and it has proven very reliable...if your thinking of buying one but are worried about quality to price issue...DON'T BE!!! This thing comes backed with a full 5 yr warranty.....YOU Wont BE DISSAPOINTED!! |
| Overall:
| Best Budget amp in the market....
Much better than the Peavey Valveking
and for the price..blows all solid-state amps
out of the water |
| Value:
| The best Value!!Get one While you can...American Musical is the only music store i can find this amp at...Musician's Friend & Music123 do NOT carry this amp...so get one while you can while they still make them..and while the price is still low...

| Quality:
| Quality looks good. Time will ultimately tell. My small Crate FXT65 has been great and have had it over 3 years and hauled to lots of practices and gigs. The 412 cabinet is thick plywood so it should last. Caster are nice. |
| Reliability:
| Only time will tell, but based on my previous crate should be fine. |
| Overall:
| Excellent. Doesn't have a lot of distortion but it not meant to. If you want more use a pedal. I use a Digitech Screamin' blues and it sounds great. Took me a while to tweak the knobs before I found the tone I wanted but it has lots of parimeters. Love the dual power output. Boost is nice and the amp looks fabulous. |
| Playability and Feel:
| Amp is easy to figure out, but you need to read the manual especially about how it is to turn on and off with the standby switch. Knobs are nice. |
| Tone:
| Sound is great. The four 12's put out a lot of bottom end. With the right tone settings and an added overdrive pedal it is fantastic. Clean tone is pristine. Brings all the tone out of a good guitar. |
| Finish:
| Love the look and feel of the amp. It is impressive on stage. It's heavy but anything of good quality is going to weigh in. |
| Action:
| It didn't come with the necessary footswith, but for the price that's not too bad a short coming. I already owned one with the FXT65 so that wasn't a problem. |

| Subject: | Versatile - Good Quality - Good Price - Decent Tone |
| Quality:
| The amp looks like it's built well - I had it for a short time. I didn't get a chance to open it up - to check out the electronics - tubes & sockets |
| Features:
| Decent features - (2) channels - Reverb - (4) EL34 - (4) 12AX7. Boost works well when mixing Gain with a distortion pedal. Bright & Normal Inputs. Vintage/Flat swith. Lot's of Volume & useful features |
| Sound:
| OK Gain Channel - Had to use a Boss DS-1 + mixed in the boost function. The bright input gave me a Marhsall UK tone with the Distortion Pedal and the normal channel with the distortion channel gave me more of a warmer fuller 6L6 type tone |
| Reliability:
| I bought an open box buy from AMS - The clean channel volume was broken right out of the box - The pot didn't work - it was (1) volume - super loud - I had to experiment with the Overdrive Channel - AMS quickly arranged for me to send the amp back for an exchange or refund |
| Overall:
| OK - I have alway's played Marshall amps & I think I will stick with what works for me. The crate is an Incredible value. It just wasn't for me. If it had worked out of the box I might have kept it. I didn't like the fan - I have owned a lot of tube amps and have never needed a fan - The amp is also very long I had trouble positioning it on my full size 4x12 Cab. I also thought the gain channel could have had more gain - It was hard to even get a Satch like tone without a pedal - Because of this I will probably get something else - It's not alway's about the price of the amp - I need to be happy with the tone & most of the features or it's just a waste of money |
| Value:
| Good value - I have never heard of a (2) channel Tube amp with FX Loop - Reverb - Boost Mode & (2) Inputs for a little over 300 dollars - for me the overall quality is a concern - for the low cost it's worth checking out |

| Quality:
| very well made, better than all other heads in this price range |
| Features:
| very loud, 2 channel with own eq for each, all tube comes with a cooling fan and spring tube holders too keep the tubes from rattling out of socket. spring reverb, ohm select too play thru any cab. great package -- everything you would need. |
| Sound:
| clean is very loud and stay's clean all the way up, dirty reminds me of a 80's marshall jcm800.made too just rip right thru the mix. reverb is o.k. but is'nt really there unless you turn it up too about 7 or 8. boost switch is awsome. |
| Reliability:
| crate has been on top of the game for a long time (excellent quality) |
| Overall:
| name it i've owned it.. always keep coming back too crate for more. if it's good enough for "ZZ TOP" it's good enough for you.... |
| Value:
| i was not suprized when i opened the box -- i new it would be good. i was however suprised that it's only 329.99. AMS is the only music source i go thru becuase they're the "BEST". get it right now before crate stops making em like the power block, you won't be disapointed. |
