Danelectro E15 Headphone Amplifier

Danelectro introduces eStudio. The electronic studio you carry in your pocket. Think of it as a creative "launching pad". Work out chords to that chart-topping new song. Experiment with new tone colorings. Practice at 2AM without those annoying threats from the landlord. Built-in clip lets you put it on your belt or strap. The e-15 features the same Vintage Overdrive circuit as the e-13, plus Echo and a Line Out. Headphones are included.

Subject:Total waste of money, spend a little more to get something that works
Quality: Amp works fine for about 45 minutes or so it seems, then it gets a crazy feedback and starts a high pitch overtone that is quite painful...Engaging the slap echo while this condition persists results in an incredible amount of distortion and ear piercing overtones.
Reliability: Was a total waste out of the box....the situation has not improved
Overall: Complete waste...I'd return it if it wouldn't cost as much as the item did...just going to factor this as a right-off....maybe I can make a coaster out of it.
Playability and Feel: Would prefer volume and dist knobs on tob, and an input to the sides or bottom...otherwise, no problems in this area aside form personal preference.
Tone: Clean tone is actually rather pleasant. The slap echo is far to extreme and cannot be adjusted in any way. The distortion sounds like mating cats...not pleasant. There are a couple of instances and some single coil pickups positions yield a cool rhythm tone, but nothing else.
Finish: My wife thought it looked cool. Just more of Danelectro's 50's vibe. I'd probably enjoy it a bit more if it worked..
Action: Fail
Skill Level: Intermediate
