About Dean Guitars - A Quick History Lesson...
Dean Guitars was born in 1976, in the attic of the Chicago suburban childhood home of company founder Dean B. Zelinsky. The eighteen-year-old Zelinsky was convinced that guitar design and manufacturing had hit a wall. Rock music was huge and guitar makers were failing to keep up with the times. The world was ready for a guitar that looked, played, and sounded superior to what was available from manufacturers at that time. Zelinsky had a better idea.

What followed was a line of electric guitars that for the first time allowed players to play to their potential. With its highly visible V-shaped headstock and trademark wing logo, Dean became in effect, the first boutique guitar line in the history of rock music.

These guitars had to be played to be believed, and played they were! Dean guitars started showing up on rock stages worldwide, album covers, and especially on the newly emerging channel called MTV. Dean Guitars were featured in the award-winning MTV Video of the Year three of the first four years running. By the time Dean created the famous Spinning Fur Guitars Dean’s early place in Rock history was firmly cemented.

Over a quarter century later, you can still buy that same USA made boutique Dean Guitar. Today, Dean Guitars has taken that same concept of creating a superior instrument to a whole new level. Dean is now a full line of fretted instruments including electric and acoustic guitars, basses, jazz guitars, resonators, banjos and mandolins. More importantly, Dean is dedicated to delivering these fine quality instruments at a value that is second to none.

-- No longer do you need to be a platinum selling artist to play Dean! --

Subject:What a nice piece of wood
Quality: The artistical workmanship of this guitar is extreme.Everyone I know,Guitar Players and Lay-People,all have talked about the beauty and the workmanship of this guitar.
Reliability: I have switched from chord tunings to another, and "stays in tune".I have played tunes from Paul McCartney,to George Strait, and keeps it's beautiful sound through out all.
Overall: Nicest Guitar I have ever purchased,Since I have to work for a Living.I have owned many guitars in my 54 years of age,but I would have to say this one overall ranks at the highest level for price, workmanship, and price.
Playability and Feel: Will handle Rock,Country,R&B,whatever you want to throw at it.
Tone: Beautiful,Beautiful sound.
Finish: Can't say enough for the Artists at Dean Guitars.
Action: Used the Tuner slightly, apparently from shipping, but basically very good out-of-the-box.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro

Subject:Great Value !!
Quality: Great so far .. I started playing it at band rehearsal the day i gotit. The built in tuner is very handy.
Reliability: I'll have to wait and see,but i don't expect any problems.
Overall: 5 stars !!!!!
Playability and Feel: easy to play, very light. I would suggest adding a nut behind the neck for the guitar strap.(The guitar only comes with one)
Tone: I'll be using the guitar on stage,so i recommend to anyone who buys the guitar to get a sound hole cover for feedback. The guitar has a warm fat tone .. with the EQ you can get just about any sound you want.
Finish: The finish is great .. the guitar isn't exactly like the photo.I was expecting the white binding on body of the guitar and sides of the neck.(mine is light brown) .. Who cares !!
Action: 5 stars !!!!!
Skill Level: Pro-Rock Star
