| Everything about this guitar feels top notch. I have a friend that swears by Les Paul customs and hated Dean. I let him play it for a little bit and it changed his mind about Dean guitars. | | Sound:
| The guitar sounds great. The first time I played it through my rig, I just started grinning. | | Reliability:
| It is new acquisition and I did not want to penalize it just because it's too new to tell. Honestly, I will not know how reliable it is until I've had it for a while. | | Overall:
| Overall, this is my favorite guitar to play and I have a Jackson, a Schecter, and an ESP that I used previously. The other members of my band even commented that this guitar has the best sound out of all of them. | | Playability and Feel:
| The guitar feels heavy but my Schecter feels heavier. I have no problems with the neck, fretboard, or controls. The hardest thing to get used to is practicing sitting down with the V body. | | Tone:
| The tone is great and very versatile. The guitar can do thick heavy tones, piercing lead, or even blues rock. | | Finish:
| I have the Angel of Deth finish and every person who as seen this guitar as flipped out over the look. I've had a couple of girls see the angel wings on it and exclaim "It's beautiful" then they notice the blood... | | Action:
| Out of the box, it sounded and felt great. The action felt like it was tailored to my style. | | Skill Level:

| Unless you can afford to pay 3 times what it's worth to buy "American", (what does that mean anymore anyway) This many features on a quality guitar is unheard of by "other" manufacturers. Dean took a series hit when Dimebag died and they needed a new fornt man to sell their guitars. Well, they found it in Dave Mustaine, and Metals greatest guitarist needs an instrument that is worthy, and the VMNT is it! | | Reliability:
| I have played/toured/recorded with this guitar for over a year. No problems whatsoever. The other guy who rated this must play guitar hero or something. I own several Jacksons, and none on them compare to the quality and performance of this guitar. If you can't play it, then why on earth would you even buy it? Stick to guitar hero. | | Overall:
| You will not be disgusted. This is a truly worthy guitar for metal or hard rock. If you are looking to play blues, it will still out perform any thing else I've ever played, and that's most everything. | | Playability and Feel:
| The neck is solid and trust worthy. I can shred up and down the neck with comfort and not have to worry about "breaking" it's little skinny neck like on most guitars. All controls operate smoothly and I have had no problems. | | Tone:
| As stated earlier, it has great "growl" for metal and rock, but when the distortion is off, the Dave Mustiane Livewire pickups are smooth and silky. If your sound sucks, it's coming form your cheap amp or effects, not from this guitar. | | Finish:
| The gears of war graphic is killer. It is new, and modern and doesn't have that look of yester year. | | Action:
| Plug and play man. It doesn't get any simpler. The only thing I changed was the gage of strings. I like .09's on the bottom, and the guitar came with .10's. Other than that, it rules. | | Skill Level:
