What is your overall opinion of this product?
This is an incredible guitar in many ways. I traded an Ibanez Art 500 EMG for this axe with the 60/81 EMG Combo in it and this Dean blows it away. First, playability. The D-Shaped neck is the real deal. Combined with the flat fretboard it's very easy to shred or to play chords. Second is tone. I was very surprised by the DMT Pickups, especially the neck pickup. I really loved the 60 in the neck of the Ibanez, but the factory DMT's are just better. The neck sounds like a Duncan Jazz and Bridge like a Duncan JB. The bridge pickup is sweet and smooth but has some serious crunch when you want it and the bridge pickup just roars. Both pickups clean up exceedingly well in clean settings as well. Lastly;fit finish and construction. It's a much lighter guitar than I would've imagined. My Dean Custom 350 Floyd weighs a good 2 pounds more than this. The body is all mahogany with a set mahogany neck that just gives you sustain for days. Mine came in flawless shape, beautiful graphic awesome axe
