Like a Chopper on vitamins, the DiMarzio Fast Track 2 Pickup is a pedal-to-the-floor, side-by-side, twin-blade monster. It's got three times the output of an average single-coil, with a huge mid-range punch. The Fast Track 2 is a bridge-position-only pickup with a powerful crunch and grind designed right in. It's particularly useful when you need a tightly focused jolt of power to crank your amplifier into rich overdrive.

Recommended For:
Bridge position for all Strat-style guitars. The dual-blade polepieces can handle all string-spacing options.

Tech Talk:
To get some sense of the Fast Track 2, it's best to think of it as a Strat-sized version of the Super Distortion or Super 3, the two pickups it most closely resembles. Using a 500K volume control will open up the top end, and we recommend this value. The best neck & middle pickup combinations with the 2 would be relatively hot models like the Fast Track 1 and Chopper. You can also mix it with Strat models like the Virtual Vintage line, if you're prepared for the jump in power of the bridge position.

Yes.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Not sure yet, but its made well and I'd expect it to last a very long time.
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
I needed something by way of a humbucking pickup in the bridge of my stratocaster and didn't want to modify the hole in the pickguard or body.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Mid-range punchy. Not too dark and not too bright. Seems to be just the right balance in the bridge position at least.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
Action
How was the action out of the box?
