DigiTech Bad Monkey Tube Overdrive PedalThe DigiTech Bad Monkey Tube Overdrive pedal; The boost you need for supercharging your tone!
The Bad Monkey is a ruggedly designed overdrive, strong enough for the road, but built with dynamics that will reign in your studio. The Bad Monkey has one of the smoothest natural characters you'd find on an overdriven tube amp but leaves the over-all tone of the signal untouched. Dial-in the tone you desire with its Low and High tone controls, boost or cut the bass and treble frequencies until you find the perfect range and rock for hours.
DigiTech Bad Monkey Features
- Level, Low/High and Gain adjustments to dial in your sound
- Dual Outputs

- Mixer output for connecting directly to a mixing board or recording device

| Solid, all metal body and large rubber base keeps the pedal in place. Will probably outlive me. | | Sound:
| At this price point, your basically looking at the Bad Monkey or Boss SD-1. Both good overdrive pedals. The Boss provides a slightly more natural guitar sound to my ears, but the Bad Monkey has more flexibility to adjust the tone with the Low and High knobs. They both provide about the same level of overdrive. The Boss SD-1 does compress the signal a little bit which can change the tone of other pedals down the chain, whereas the Bad Monkey does not and so provides a more 'open' and warmer sound. | | Reliability:
| Bought this as a b-stock item. This is my third Digitech b-stock pedal. They all arrived in basically pristine condition and work perfectly. I'm guessing that most b-stock are customer returns that arrived DOA and sent back to the factory for repair. Well it's unlikely they'll break again. I was hesitant at first to buy b-stock gear, but no more. Saved a lot of money and got gear that basically looks new with full manufacturers warranty. | | Overall:
| Well built, good sound. This is an Overdrive pedal, not a Distortion pedal! Learn the difference. | | Playability and Feel:
| | | Tone:
| Very full and warm sounding, but ever so slightly muffled to my ears. Can be brightened up by adjusting the Low and High knobs. | | Finish:
| Pedal looks brand new and unused and came with all original packaging and paperwork, including warranty card. | | Action:

| it is built very well. i've had it for almost a year and it has taken quite the beating traveling with me. | | Reliability:
| its reliable in the sense that it keeps giving the same sound that i had from it on day one. | | Overall:
| like i said i take it with me where ever i go, but i don't use it anymore since i got my line6 xt live pedal board. | | Playability and Feel:
| it just wasnt the distortion i was looking for. i was looking for something a little heavier to get a good 80s rock feel and this didn't deliver. its more of a blues or jazz sound. | | Tone:
| the tone is very bright. | | Finish:
