Overall: I was planing on getting a Boss RC3 loop station but the availability date keeps getting pusted back. I finally got tired of waiting. Now I am glad that I did not wait because this looper is greater then what I was waiting for. I was looking at 3 hrs recording time but with this one i'll have over 16 hrs. Only had this product about a month, but it looks like it will take a lot of abuse and keep right on working. Playability and Feel: I find it easy to use however I have not put it through everything that I believe this pedal can do. Tone: Finish: One word, great. Quality: The pedal seems to be made very solid. It will definitely take a lot of abuse especially when playing out a lot with a band. Sound: It gave my somewhat muddy sounding set-up some real life in terms of sound. A little bit more high end, but in a good way. Not to drastic either. It just made my overall tone more full and tighter sounding. Reliability: I've only had it a couple of weeks or so. But It seems very well built and looks like it was made to last a very long time. Overall: Overall, you just never can tell when your other guitarist is going to call in sick and you'll need to play his parts too. You can even fill in for your bass player when he or she is out. That is, if you have an octave pedal to use with this Loop pedal. Regarding the use of the pedal itself, I started using it right out of the box without reading the user guide/manual. You basically choose an empty bank (from 11 on since the first 10 come preloaded but can easily be emptied). Then you tap in the tempo on the "tempo" button and finally hold down the pedal until the green lead turns a yellow/orange color which means it's recording, then play your parts and when you finish, press it once to stop recording. Whenever I got stuck on how to do something with the pedal, I referred to the manual which was easy to read. So, again, overall, this pedal is definitely staying in my set-up for a very long time. Playability and Feel: It's a fairly sturdy pedal. Yet, not too hard to press down on with your foot. Tone: This category is going to be like what I put under Sound. The tone of my guitar going through this pedal and to my amp did change a little bit but not drastically, and in a good way! When plugged into this pedal I seemed to get a little more high end. Not ugly thin-brittle highs but a more smooth and tight high end. If you own a guitar amp that tends to accentuate your lows a lot more than your highs, this pedal would open up that amp up a little more. If you own a Fender type of amp and play strat type guitars with single coils, which can sometimes tend to give off a thin high end, this pedal can tighten those highs up for you. It definitely did my Laney Lionheart Head and my strats some justice in this respect. Finish: I really like the dark blue finish on this pedal. It goes really well with the color of my Blue Laney Amplifier Head. Plus, it doesn't stand out too much when playing with it on stage. The LED display is also easy to see in either a dark stage or a lighted one. Action: This pedal was fairly easy to press on yet still fairly sturdy.
