DR Strings DBG10 Dimebag Darrell Hi Voltage Electric Guitar Strings

DR Strings Dimebag Darrell HI VOLTAGE Electric strings are made for extreme playing. Dime used DR's strings of strength since 1995 because of their feel - you can really get a grip on them. They're great for everything, from big 'ol string bends, to huge whammy bar dives, perfect for blood curdling harmonic screams and just straight out chunky riffin'. They also stay in perfect tune and remain fresh and bright for an amazingly long time.

Subject:My Favorite Strings to Use
Quality: Yes! These are well made strings! Better than Ernie Ball strings at the same price!
Sound: Bright
Reliability: THE most reliable strings I've used so far.
Overall: Compared to alot of other strings I've used, these, without a doubt, have last the longest (I've used them for about 3 months without them breaking... changed them out to try some Elixer strings, which are not as good), and I like the bright tone they give. You can get good bends and harmonics with these, and Dimebag used these strings! What more can I say? They are built to last... well, for a good long time!
Playability and Feel: Well, far as strings go, these are treated strings, though they don't feel like it.
Tone: These are kinda bright, but you can still get a good chunk outta these.
Finish: There is no paint on these strings... so yeah.
Action: Uh... I get plenty of action... no worries here.

Subject:Worked Really Good, Until Now
Quality: I probably got a bad batch because they broke a month after replacing my old DR's, and DR's usually last a long time. Other than that, the strings played very well.
Reliability: After about 2 1/2 weeks, the big E string uncoiled it's self around the bridge area, and just today the A string did the same. I clean the strings after every time I play, and take excellent care of my guitar, so I don't know why the strings gave out so soon. If Dime played them, they should be the toughest strings out there!
Overall: These strings actually played really good, despite their short life for me.
Playability and Feel: They were smooth and fast, no problem sliding down the neck.
Tone: They had a really deep, chunky tone, which was what I was looking for.
Finish: Looked fine to me.
Action: Excellent.

Subject:I LOVE THESE STRINGS!
Quality: This is what I had always wished coated strings were like. You can't really tell they are coated, there's no visible teflon like other coated strings, yet the "new string feel" goes on and on.
Reliability: I've played mine for a few weeks now and they still feel and sound like new... it's amazing!
Overall: I'm in a cover band, gigging 2-3 times a week, playing various styles: swing, standards, blues, rock, folk, and a little bit of country. These strings suit all these styles, wonderfully.
Playability and Feel: I use 10s all the time, and these play just a little bit lighter than other brands I've used. I could probably go to 11s, but I'm loving that I can bend the heck out of these without going to 9s and losing the feel of the 10s that I enjoy. I'm also delighted to find that they stay in tune better than other strings I've used.
Tone: The tone is perfect for me. They are more crisp and clean sounding than other coated strings I've tried, more like uncoated, and they keep sounding that way... three weeks now, and still counting.
Finish: They look like uncoated strings.
Action: Great feel, maybe even a little better than regular strings. There is a nice grab to them that is hard to explain. They seem to improve my playing because they feel so good.
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
