Over the past few years, some of the world’s top players have put PDP to the test in the studio and on tour. The verdict: Pacific drums are surprising hard-to-impress producers and drum techs that thought only pricey custom drums could make the cut.

Want proof?
Simple Plan’s Chuck Comeau reported that multi-platinum producer Bob Rock preferred the sound of Pacific drums when tracking their latest hit record, and studio veterans such as Curt Bisquera are also using PDP kits on high-profile records and movie soundtracks on a regular basis. You can also find PDP on tour with bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Yellowcard, Alien Ant Farm, Drowning Pool, and a growing list of other notable artists.

Subject:amazing drums at an amazing price
Quality: great quality. you can tell these drums are marketed by dw. the shell construction is awesome. the hardware that came with mine is ok, not fantastic, but not bad, either.
Features: it's a 7 piece kit for under a grand. the snare could be better. i can't get a sound i like out of it, but that's ok, cuz i got a pork pie piglite acrylic 7x13 and i use that instead anyway.
Sound: the sound out of the box wasn't bad. i put evans g2 coated heads on the toms, an aquarian superkick 2 on the bass drum, and a remo ambassador on the snare, and they sound about a thousand times better. when i play gigs and other area drummers are around, i get compliments on how good my drums sound. my 16 inch floor tom sounds massive and the kick drum will rattle a building off the foundation through the PA. without being miked, they still sound awesomely good. i don't muffle any of my drums, i keep them wide open. man, they just sound amazing.
Overall: when i got these drums 2 years ago, i thought that they would be an excellent start into a larger setup. i figured i would just keep upgrading my drums slowly (i had a yamaha yd 5 piece before these, what an improvement!) and i think i can wait awhile to switch to new drums. of course, pdp just released the maple version of this kit. bet it sounds better than these, which is hard to believe these can sound better!
Value: less than a grand for a full 7 piece kit with hardware. great value? i think maybe they should bump the price up a little, because i feel like i stole these.
Appearance: absolutely beautiful drums. silver sparkle to black fade. only problem when i got mine was two dime sized places around the bottom rim of the 14" floor tom. the finish was chipped, but i called up customer service at AMS and they refunded 50 dollars off of my order. i can't complain. no one but me has ever seen them.

Overall: I was a little apprenhensive about the poplar shells, but after practicing with our band, I was amazed at the sound it projects.
Value: Great value, this set beats my old TAMA set hands down.
Appearance: I have the White Pearlesucent Sparkle. THe white is a beautifulcolor although the sparkle isn't that noticable.

Subject:THIS IS A SICK KIT
Quality: i have owned these for prob a year and the quality is nothin to complain about, amazing for its price.
Features: I love the fact you get 5 toms, how sick can those drum solos be with 5 toms.
Sound: the tone of the heads on it are ok the only thing i changed about this kit is the heads. I put evans hydrolic heads or somethin like that there the best evans heads you can buy and trus me you wont ever have to change another thing after that.
Overall: Like i said before this set is amazing, it holds tone really well and the hardware is still good, and the only thing i would change is the heads.
Value: You cant beat the value. your never gonna find a better 7 piece set for the money.
Appearance: well when you roll into a show with a 7 piece set and the variety of colors for this thing you cant go wrong, i have the orange kit and i have had so many compliments.

Subject:Affordable, great tones, worth your time and money
Quality: I would say that This product is stunning. I bought the orange sparkle, and it looks fantastic, and is great for gigs and shows of any kind from rock to jazz.
Features: I think that the best part of it is that it's very portable. If I could add anything it would be that the bass drum should be a 22" by 24" because I like a "big boom" bass drum.
Sound: The tone is great. It wasn't really the sound I was looking for, but If you just replace the heads on the two mounted toms or buy some moon gel, they sound great. Also, the snare is a little ringy. If you perform a lot, either get a new head, or some moon gel.
Overall: I've recommended this set to several drummers looking for a new tone. It sounds very professional.
Value: I would say the Value of this set is excellent.
Appearance: It looks great! I ordered the Orange Sparkle, and it has a vintage/modern look to it. After every show at least two people compliment on the color.

Subject:GOOD quality GREAT sound BEAST price
Quality: Although i would have liked to have metal bass drum hops instad of wooden, the wooden seem to be very sturdy and will hold up to my double bass drum peddle. I love the black wrap. Looks great set up!
Features: Love the little Pillow that comes with it and also you can tune the snare with a key (the metal stands)
Sound: Sounds great, no long annoying ring to the tops, nice and quick. However they do take a while to tone right
Overall: This Product is great, for its price, looks, and quality i would recommended it to any one
Value: You cant bet it, i would have paid more the the black out wrap than i would have the sparkle finishes
Appearance: Very mean look, come off as an very expensive drumset
