Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I find the quality to be quite good. Treat it with respect; this is a piece of electronics - not a mic stand or speaker cab - but it will last you. I actually had to send one back (under the AWESOME AMS extended warranty) because I blew a channel when someone tripped on and unplugged a speaker cable at full volume. Not the board's fault. It was replaced no problem. One con here - It's not as powerful as I'd like or expected. The 2X250w or 1-500watt rating - that's only PEAK according to the manual and then only if you have your speakers resistance exactly right. In my regular stereo two-speaker setup, I am getting 125w per channel. NOT bad, but not as much as I was thinking. Just be informed.

What do you consider to be the best features of this product? What features would you add to this product if you could?
It's loaded with features. Behringer is great at cramming every feature into stuff and keeping the price down and this board is no exception. And a lot of it is very useful. Faders are really nice - 3 band EQ on each channel - Effects are nice but I find it a bit hard to get them sounding good. Lots of inputs, outputs, and routing options make this board a winner.

How easy is this product to use? How easy is the product to use with other products? Did it take long for you to learn to use this product? Was the manual helpful? How playable do you consider this product to be?
It's fairly straightforward to use the main functions of this mixer. It DOES take a little knowledge of the stages of amplification - one of the other reviewers likely doesn't understand how to use the mic preamps - hence, no volume. Spend a little time to get to know it and you won't regret it. The mixer has some more advanced features - learn to use the EQ - that takes some experience to understand.
Sound
How is the tone?
It sounds good. It does its job - mixes and amplifies what you put into it. The various EQs give you some flexibility on sound also. It isn't gonna do some magic enhancement of your other components - speakers, mics, bad singers, what ever - but it definitely fulfills its purpose. I normally use mine for a couple mics with backing tracks piped in from the CD/AUX channel. It works beautifully for this purpose. I have also used it for acoustic gigs - a couple mics and a guitar - and it handles this well. I don't know how it would go if you really pushed it - like full band kinda thing. I think it would be light on power for such a thing.

Very well built! The construction of the mixer is very tough and sturdy. The sliders are tight and the knobs are not loose or sloppy.Strong Carrying handle too. The only complaint I have are the pads or "feet" meant to keep from sliding. They fell off almost immediately.

The PMP 1000 has a ton of features packed into it! 12 Channels of great sound. Both Stereo and Mono inputs, built in FX, CD in/out, Phantom Power for condenser mics, channel mute, voice canceller,and plenty of power.

The PMP1000 is very easy to use. Pretty straight forward. The manual explains everything quite sufficiently. You Tube has plenty of tutorials as well.
Sound
How is the tone?
The more you spend the better the sound quality, in most cases. That being said, for a $380.00 mixer, it sounds very good. I use mine in a home studio and have not pushed to it's potential but, I would not hesitate to use the PMP1000 for small to medium venues.
