The Ballz!!!
What is your overall opinion of this product?
Been wanting one of these for a long time. Didn't want an ironing board for a 6 string bass. This is just what I want. Out of the box however, I had to make some adjustments to her (truss rod to take the severe bow out of the neck and heavier strings on the top). All in all I have been very, very happy with her. Fender should address the issues we consumers have about the setups and shipping as afore mentioned by other buyers of this guitar...
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
I play everything from bluegrass to heavy metal. I can cover it all with this bass.
Are the features on the product what you were expecting? What are your favorite features?
Was hoping the 'floating' bridge had more capability, but it is a bass guitar, not a Strat.
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I like the weight and feel of the guitar.
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
bottom to top it's all good. Have to tweak my amps a bit when using her.
How did the stain or paint job look?
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
Yes I did. The fact that these are not going to be available when Fender is through running the series makes it priceless to me.
How was the action out of the box?
see above. (needed to do a little work on her).
