QUALITY: Built nice and solid
FEATURES: Excellent control surface, don't let the price fool you.
EASE OF USE: Take a while to configure. You know software issues; but it was fairly easy to get everything up and running. Took me a good two hours.
VALUE: This peice is worth every penny. Thanks Tascam for not selling this for a 1000 +. Mixer is beautiful I am so glad I bought this. At first I was nervous because I did not think the drivers would hold up. Since the 1.05 update she has not skipped a beat.
SOUND: Soud is great. I have owened the rack mountable version also. Love the mic pres. Sold the 1804 because I would have to reload it from time to time in order to get my software to reconize it. The sound was great.

QUALITY: SOLID frame, buttons could be a little more sturdy, but they respond perfectly.
FEATURES: Everything you could possibly want in an 8 track interface.
EASE OF USE: Understanding the mapping/button combinations is not as intuative as I'd like, BUT after reading through the entire manual (less then 50 pages), this thing is super easy.
VALUE: Compared to other interfaces without Firewire, and handson tracking/mixing capabilities, this thing was a no brainer to me. Perfect blend between my multitrack days and now my computer recording days.
SOUND: Sounds Good to me, no problems to mention.
STYLE: Hip Hop/Instrumental
MUSIC EXPERIENCE: 10+
OVERALL: Overall I am super satisfied with this interface/investment. TASCAM is still bringing some creativity and innovation to the table.

QUALITY: Compared to more expensive units, the buttons feel cheap. But you really can't complain about what you get for the price.
FEATURES: The motorized faders are hot! When you use this bad boy with Cubase, it rocks! It is superb! After I went to Pro Tools and had to use it in HUI mode, it sucks because you lose almost all the features that it did in Cubase.
EASE OF USE: Very easy to use. A kid should be able to get going with this thing!
VALUE: I honestly don't think anything can touch in under $1200. PT Command 8 is nice, but only if you have Pro Tools. If you use Cubase or others where you don't have to use it in HUI mode, it is the best under $1200.
SOUND: It sounds good. I haven't heard an SSL board or other expensive boards, but you won't be dissappointed. The mic pre's are on par with the 002. After getting the 002R factory bundle that came with free mic tube amp, my sound is a noticeable i
