Product Description

The Dunlop Crybaby 95Q takes the original Crybaby and adds the two most popular and requested upgrades - the famous Q Control, which varies the intensity of the wah effect by adjusting the effect's bandpass shape, and the Volume Boost, for up to 15dB added gain to your output signal. The Crybaby 95Q is a flexible tone monster that retains the original Crybaby's fast-reacting characteristics. Powered by a single 9-volt battery or the optional ECB03 AC adapter.

Dunlop Crybaby 95Q Features

  • Heavy die cast construction for years of reliability.
  • 100k ohm Hot Potz potentiometer that allows for that quick, abrupt wah sound.
  • Silent auto-off switching automatically bypasses the effect when your foot is off the pedal.
  • The adjustable volume boost knob for up to +15dB is mounted on the side of the pedal along with the adjustable Q control.

95Q Review
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
Good solid construction from Dunlop as usual. If your hard on your pedals the plastic volume and q control knobs could be an issue. Personally I'm very nice to my equipment.
How has it stood up over time?
I've only had it a short time, but all my other Dunlop products hold up great.
Your general opinion of this product.
I needed an auto return function for my wah with my current gig. I've always loved the sound of the Dunlop wah's and their reliability. I'm a huge fan of the Q control as I've always liked a more subtle wah effect, especially on a really clean setting. I do play some songs that require a good fuzz or overdrive and the volume adjustment knob for the boost switch is a great option to have. Clean I never use the volume boost, but with a rich fuzz tone it comes in real handy to not have any volume loss or even a slight boost for leads. Overall I'm very pleased with the options in this wah pedal. There is also an internal trip pot to allow you how much time you want the effect to return to the off position when you let off the pedal. I personally like it off immediately as i switch effects quickly and don't like any time delay.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
I took some getting used to to have a spring loaded wah you have to stay on it you can't let off, but you don't have to turn it on and off with the push button. With the ability to set the Q you can have anything you want. From fast funk to searing leads to psychedelic freak out to B3 styled chordings you can do it all.
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Anything you want it to be the Q control is the best
How did the stain or paint job look?
How was the action out of the box?
