Dunlop GCB95 Original Crybaby Wah Pedal

The Dunlop Crybaby is the original - the one that created some of the most timeless sounds in rock. When people talk about wah pedals, they’re talking about the Crybaby. Relied on by Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, David Gilmour, and many other greats.

Features: Heavy die cast construction for years of reliability, 100k ohm Hot Potz potentiometer that allows for that quick, abrupt wah sound. Powered by the Dunlop ECB-03 AC Adapter and/or 9 volt battery.

The Crybaby has been a standard in the world of music since its introduction in the late 1960's. Its rugged construction and efficient design will give years of outstanding performance.

Reliability: Haven't had it long enough to know how reliable it will be
Overall: These have been around forever
Playability and Feel: Feels good under foot. Heavy and solid. Would be better if it had a longer throw of adjustment
Tone: Tone can be a little bright and harsh. Sounds better to my ears when rocked all the way back to about 3/4 forward
Finish: finish looks good and durable
Action: again, would be better if it had a longer throw of adjustment

Overall: I bought the Dunlop Original for use w/ both distortion and clean sound, to duplicate leads of artists like Jimi Hendrix and Kirk Hammett. It works great under any conditions, and I strongly recommend it to musicians of any background who just love that "wah" sound. I haven't gotten the adapter yet, so changing batteries is a hassle, and when the battery gets low the tone starts to worsen. Other than that, this is a great accessory and I'm proud to own it.
