You can go from a light overdriven sound to a classic rock crunch and it is very pick dynamic.The tone control lets you dial in how much high end you want(or dont want) Reliability: MXR/Dunlop products are some of the absolute best when it comes to reliability PERIOD!! I have been performing for over 30 years and I have always had a Dunlop Cry Baby Wah in my arsenal and NOT ONCE have I ever had to bring it in for repair. Overall: This pedal is built extremely well, it sounds fantastic and you wont find a better pedal for the price. Playability and Feel: Tone: Awesome tone, dial in what you want---great for classic rock tones---think Zeppelin,Clapton, Hendrix etc..It all depends on how hard you pick,how you have your amp set and how hard you drive the pedal but you can pretty much do anything with this pedal( It even blows away several of the high priced "boutique" pedals I have tried!)
