I would have to Rate the Quality Control a 3 due to the fact that the fretboard had several Imperfections. Several Dings, Blotches, Uneven areas that were covered by a Neutral colored stain to hide these Imperfections - after a few days of playing the instrument the stain wore off revealing the said Imperfections.

Overall:

QUALITY:
The quality is top notch , just as you would expect with any epiphone , No bad qualities to be seen

FEATURES:
The on/off switch , no volume or tone controls to mess with , perfect for a rock bass

EASE OF USE:
By far one of the nicest made basses ive played in some time very slim and fast playable neck , the flat black paint seem to be alot easier on the hands than the typical stained neck of the Thunderbird

VALUE:
The price is right inline with other basses in its class , if it was to cost much more i would expect a set neck instead of the bolt on

SOUND:
The natural sound of the "Deepsixx' pickups are perfect for just about any style music

Quality: love the look and feel of this bass I am not a bass player I play guitar but i had to have this bass when I saw it
Reliability: I have only had it a few weeks
Overall: when i received this bass it had very bad fret buzz but after a little tweak of the truss rod it plays great and sounds great
Playability and Feel: fast
Tone: thick sound
Finish: love it the finish it had a couple of small flaws in the neck paint kinds like dirt in the pain not very noticeable though
Action: bad fret buzz badly top and bottom strings almost fretted out on first fret but after a little tweak of the truss rod all is fine I was going to return it because I did not want to make any adjustments to a new bass but i adjusted truss rod and all is well your return policy is awesome though no problems at all thyey emailed me the return authorization with no problems but then i changed my mind and kept it

Subject:The Blackbird is made to rock, and it does it well
Overall:

QUALITY:
This bass is very well made, very solid, and plays great. It is quite heavy, so I would not recommend it for smaller players. The neck is really nice, very thin at the nut like a jazz bass but with a rounder profile. It is a bit unusual, but I like it

FEATURES:
The Blackbird is a very simple axe. A big slab of mahogony with two high output humbuckers, and an on-off switch! Good tuners, good bridge, nice frets, cool inlays. I have no idea what the opti- grab handle is for. I love the satin black finish and the clear plexi-glass pick guard.

EASE OF USE:
Aside from the weight, and being slightly neck heavy, this bass is very easy to use. Get some straplocks. Having no knobs at all makes it for me. It is what it is, a metal bass.

VALUE:
The guys in my band thought I paid 1000 bucks for the Blackbird. $399 is a steal, trust me!

SOUND:
The best thing about this bass is the sound. It has an ideal

QUALITY:
This is a great bass. Sounds like a monster coming through an Ampeg SVT head and 8x10 cab.. This thing is a absolute Killer!!!! The only thing i would change and did change was the strings....

FEATURES:
Features? This bass was made to ROCK!!! who needs anything more? Rock is about being loud aggressive and always on 10, your either on on your off. Same with this bass

EASE OF USE:
It is a bit neck heavy, but that's what the OptiGrab handle is for. Lock your pinkie finger in place and alls good....

VALUE:
I would have paid 3-4 times the amount for this bass.

SOUND:
Monstrous.....
