    Product Description

One of Epiphone's most original and modern designs, the Epiphone Genesis was first published in the Epiphone catalog in late 1979 and was viewed as a new era in Epiphone instruments. The Epiphone LE Genesis Deluxe Pro Electric Guitar puts this collector's favorite back into the limelight with a beautiful AAA flame maple veneer top and solid mahogany body and Epiphone ProBucker pickups that utilize Coil-Tapping for a variety of tomes not previously offered on the Genesis of the past.

Epiphone LE Genesis Deluxe Pro Electric Guitar Features

    • Mahogany Body with AAA Flame Maple Veneer
    • Mahogany Neck with 1960's SlimTaper D Profile
    • 22 Fret Rosewood Fingerboard with Pearloid Trapezoid Inlays
    • Epiphone ProBucker 2 and ProBucker 3 Pickups with Coil Tap
    • 1-Ply Cream Binding on the Top and Fingerboard
A bold instrument with a warm sound that can do anything from hard rock to fusion jazz, the Genesis was part of Epiphone's longstanding tradition of giving players more for their money at a level of quality and consistency other guitar makers can't maintain.

AAA Flame Maple Top and Futuristic Features
The Epiphone LE Genesis Deluxe PRO features a solid mahogany body with a AAA quilt maple veneer top that delivers the classic tone and sustain that made the Genesis stand out in a crowd. The double cutaway body features 1-ply cream binding on the top for a beautiful vintage look. The mahogany neck has a 24.75 inch scale with a 12 inch radius and features the player favorite 1960s SlimTaper D-profile along with a glued-in neck joint for lifelong stability. The rosewood fingerboard comes with pearloid trapezoid inlays, 22 medium-jumbo frets and a 1.68 inch nut along with single ply cream binding along the fingerboard.

    Epiphone ProBucker Humbuckers with Coil-Tapping
The original Genesis model featured coil-tapping via a small mini toggle. However, the original Genesis did not allow for coil-tapping each individual pickup. Now, the new Epiphone LE Genesis Deluxe PRO zooms into the 21st century with ProBucker pickups with coil-tapping on both the rhythm and lead pickups.

ProBucker pickups feature Alnico II magnets, the same magnets used in sought-after vintage PAF humbuckers. Alnico II magnets provide a rich, warm tone with a sparkling high end and a solid low end. The Ltd. Edition Genesis Deluxe PRO features a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a ProBucker 3 in the bridge position.

The ProBucker 3 is slightly overwound to provide balance with the neck pickup with an added bit of edge for lead work. ProBuckers emulate the sound of original PAF pickups which were hand-wound with a few extra turns of wire. Both of the Ltd. Ed. Genesis PRO's pickups feature coil-tapping, which is activated by a push/pull volume speed knob control, allowing players an infinite variety of pickups sounds from single-coil bark to full humbucker bite.

When winding humbuckers, Epiphone utilizes a double vacuum waxing process that ensures quiet operation, free from microphonic hum. The pickup is first placed in the specialized wax vacuuming system before the cover is placed on the unit to ensure that the wax fully penetrates to the very center of the pickup and solidifies all parts. After the cover is placed on, it is again given a second vacuum wax bath until the unit is completely saturated with wax.

Epiphone uses only the highest quality parts for its pickups, such as ABS plastic bobbins, 1010 Cold Rolled Steel pole shoes and pole screws, Alnico magnets and the finest magnet wire available.

A Classic Made to Last a Lifetime
The Epiphone LE Genesis Deluxe PRO features Epiphone's legendary rock-solid gold hardware including a LockTone Tune-o-matic fully adjustable bridge and a Stopbar tailpiece. And now, Epiphone's updated, patent pending design auto locks the bridge and tailpiece in place with no tools needed! This also results in improved sustain. The Epiphone LE Genesis Deluxe PRO uses 1 inch diameter potentiometers for better ‘throw’, longer life and reliable service. Epiphone's all-metal toggle switches use rugged spring-steel contacts to ensure years of reliable service and performance. Epiphone's proprietary output jack features an improved contact shape and heavy-duty spring steel to increase reliability and gold Grover 18:1 machine heads on a classic '60s era Epiphone Sloped Dovewing headstock to ensure tuning stability and long life.

First electric guitar, and it's here to stay
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought the vintage sunburst and I was immensely impressed by the finish of this guitar. This being my first electric guitar, I took some time getting used to it. It plays like an angel and looks like an angel too. My more experienced friends played it and even they were impressed by it and declared I wouldn't be needing an upgrade any time soon. I'm satisfied and very happy about the price of this beauty.

    Well worth the money.
What is your opinion of this product?
The guitar arrived in a couple of days and was in excellent shape. With all guitars, you need to do a set up to match your own style, so I was not to concern about the set up. The finish was very good and all the electronics are working OK. The frets are very good. All in all, a very good instrument.

    Awesome! But kinda ugly
What is your opinion of this product?
I've been playing a long time and I've had some guitars that were gems and some that were dogs in prices ranging from $300 to $3000 and I've learned, perhaps a bit too late that you don't always get what you pay for. This is one of those cases and it happens to work out in my favor. I bought this guitar for slide use because it is inexpensive, has coil splitters and easy access to the upper frets. I was pretty surprised when I saw how well made it was. The fretboard is especially impressive. I can't find a finish flaw on it. That said, it is finished in poly rather than lacquer, which the former is a bit more forgiving. Still. It's pretty amazing that a guitar at this price point could be so well made. Personally, I am not a fan of the body shape or the inordinately long looking headstock but you know what? I'll get over it because when I play this thing it feels wonderful in my hands AND my wallet. Buy it if you can. I can't imagine you'd be disappointed.

The Genesis is a fair guitar for the money
What is your opinion of this product?
I bought two of these. They arrived Fast and look GREAT !!! They both play well. Over all, the Genesis is a fair guitar for the money. The case is also pretty nice. The set in neck, numerous sound selections (With the push pull Pots), it seems to stay in tune pretty well. I will be making some minor adjustments to the truss rod and intonation. OK, you get what you pay for, and it's worth the money. My complaint is meant for Epiphone. They should have made a better choice for the locating of the tuners in manufacture and design in my opinion. The 3rd string rests against the 2nd string tuning peg. As well as the 4th touches the 5th. It seems the earlier models did this also. They should have tried to fix this in the re issue run. Looking for your first purchase guitar? If you want an Epiphone with Single Coil sounds, Humbuckers and a diverse sound pallet? Get the Nighthawk. If you have many guitars as I do, it's a fun little *#$$&%...... :-)

    Good value for the money.
What is your opinion of this product?
Actually I was really surprised by the quality at this price point. I bought the Black Cherry and the finish fully met my expectations. Action was pretty good out of the box but I changed the strings and reset intonation. The guitar plays easily. Like the pull pots for single coil pickups - versatile guitar.

What is your opinion of this product?
I cannot believe the incredible sound and playability of this guitar. I have been playing for over 40 years and this is this best sounding guitar I have ever handled.I own several USA tele,s and strats and I would much rather play this genesis. After all thee years I decided to buy a cheap guitar ,set it up for playing slide. I purchased this genesis for this purpose. Now I don.t want to raise the strings and open or drop tune this guitar . Playing this thing has brought the fun back in playing for me. I play old rock and jump blues.I don,t know if I just got lucky but the gang that built this unit did a job they can be proud of.

AWESOME! For the Price, Very, very hard to BEAT!
What is your opinion of this product?
Great build, very nice finish; mine is black cherry. Very solid and great-in-the-hand-feel! I love it! I no longer have the jones to get a Les Paul for 4 x the cash!!!! This Genesis HAS the tone and playability of a high dollar Les Paul. Mine weighs in at 8.9 lbs. The AAA flame maple top is BEAUTIFUL, the neck feels great, and the pickups kick BUTT! Sounds very clean when I want, and surely has the Paul bite and growl when I want it!!! I am jamming it through a VOX AC15C tube amp, and the Geney sounds GREAT!! I am overly pleased and got more guitar for the money than I had anticipated. I will be using this black cherry Genesis on the stage, it's stage worthy!
