Epiphone DR500ME Masterbilt Acoustic Electric Guitar

The Epiphone Masterbilt DR500ME Acoustic Electric Guitar delivers unsurpassed sound quality to the stage or the studio at an amazing price The quintessential flat-top, the DR500ME features the ultimate marriage of tonewoods. A solid Sitka spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides compliment a comfortable bound 25 1/2 inch scale neck, producing the classic dreadnought experience - rich, powerful sound and exceptional playablilty. The addition of the eSonic2 system provides a smooth, clear sound that you can take anywhere. Other features include body and neck binding, split diamond inlays and nickel hardware.

The Epiphone Masterbilt Tradition
Epiphone began building production guitars in 1928. Over the next 2 decades the company blossomed into one of the most innovative and popular guitar brands the world had ever seen. As the Banjo boom declined and the age of the Guitar progressed, Epiphone dominated the market with its Masterbilt line of guitars. Today, Epiphone continues that tradition with the exceptional Masterbilt Acoustic Series. Combining beautiful solid tonewoods and superior craftsmanship with classic appointments such as the historic Epiphone script logo and mother of pearl stickpin inlay, the Epiphone Masterbilt Acoustic Series provides guitarists of any level with an instrument they will be proud to play.

Modern Masterbilts
Today’s Masterbilt Acoustic Series encompasses many of the most coveted aspects of fine guitar building for a remarkable price. Each Masterbilt guitar is constructed of the finest all solid tonewoods. The tops are braced using the 1930’s wide X bracing and extra deep scarfing to produce incredible resonance. The joints are hand fitted and glued using authentic hot hide glue, and the bridges and fingerboard are constructed of premium solid rosewood. The saddle is compensated bone, as is the nut. This premium construction is capped off with deluxe appointments including gold open backed tuners, a tapered headstock, mother-of-pearl inlays, and real abalone binding (on some models) to provide an instrument that is as impressive to look at as it is to play, feel, and hear.

Subject:Beautiful Guitar!
Quality: I was very impressed with the overall quality of this Guitar. Fit and finish is top rate. Just a lovely, well made instrument. Similar to my past Martin.
Reliability: I have only owned it a few days, but it appears well made and I'm sure it will last along time.
Overall: Very happy with it. Looks, plays and sounds great. Plugged into my Fender blues reissue deville 4x10, it simply sounds incredible! Plays like a much more expensive instrument. Fantastic deal!
Playability and Feel: Nice low action, smooth neck, comfortable width. Volume/tone controls on top/side just below upper bout. Pickup sounds like very good quality. I have played everything from Jazz to Beatles, mostly fingerstyle, and it sounds incredible. Nicely balanced lows, mids and highs. What else can I say? LOVE it! Highly recommended. Epiphone did a first class job on these masterbilts! BUY IT!!!
Tone: Darker sounding unplugged. Plugged in, this Guitar came alive! Beautiful, warm balanced tone. I really can't say enough good things about it.
Finish: Beautiful satin finish with the old style Epiphone logo on headstock. Attention to detail and overall build quality is evident.
Action: Action on mine is low and plays very easily. No buzzing whatsover. Perfect intonation. Well set up!
Skill Level: Semi-Pro
