| This is a very reliable, solid, well built amp with a lot to offer for today's gigging musician. I have this head and a matching cab. The cab is not the strong suite of this duo. Mine is setting pretty on top of a vintage bassman cab. But the head has excellent clean, crunch, and full on face melting distortion. I run mine with no pedals and have no problems getting all the tones I need in a gig. but as a wrap, this is an amp with a lot of features made available to the ones that cannot afford Marshall, Orange, Mesa, ect valve amps. all in all a great head. | | Reliability:
| I have had mine since they came out and have not had one problem with it yet. just a really reliable "built like a tank" amp | | Overall:
| A well made product for the middle class jammer or maybe your first tube amp. I would compare it to without hesitation against lower and middle class Marshall products | | Playability and Feel:
| This is a very nice sounding amp and is most tweakable. I can get splanky country tones all the way to early Metalica stuff and anything in between. | | Tone:
| Tone is like If Jim Marshall was 20 something again today and in his garage replicating bassman's | | Finish:
| great black tolex covering although the logo tends to fall off. | | Action:
| great sounding out of the box, but made better with groove tubes. | | Skill Level:

| USA design and engineering by Gibson. Solidly built. Comes in about 45lbs. Smooth controls. Independent/Interactive EQ adds more punch when engaged. Rocker switches for power and standby. 50/25 watt power switching. Multi 8/16 ohm jacks on rear. No effects loop. Available 4x12 cab with Eminence Lady Luck speakers | | Reliability:
| Had it for a year now with no problems. Some say sounds better with tube swap, but mine has been fine with the Shaguang(Ruby) tubes that came with. Gigged without backup many times, held up fine. Could use better Tolex, but I have a case for it now | | Overall:
| This is a Guitar Player magazine Gold Award winner of the month and rightly so. It has been called the poor man's JTM45. Has the crunch of a Marshall JTM without the accentuated mids the JTM45 is known for. The available cab does not do this amp justice. Mine sits on top of a Marshall 1960B Lead cab. Could use toggle switches, never been a fan of rocker switches. Overall a good, punchy rock machine. Simple layout. Contour control can scoop mids nicely, but is rather grainy if cranked over. Great Blues/Rock/Hard Rock amp. Metallurgists need not apply. | | Playability and Feel:
