Body and Neck
The Epiphone ES339 Pro features a reduced size laminated maple body with a solid center block, much like original ES-style classics. The mahogany SlimTaper ‘D’ profile 24.75 inch scale neck has 22 medium jumbo frets and is hand-set and glued with a mortise and tenon neck joint with Titebond glue. The 12 inch radius rosewood fingerboard features pearloid inlays and a 1.68 inch nut. Single-ply cream binding on the fingerboard and body completes the classic look.

The Epiphone Limited Edition ES339 Pro’s Alnico Classic Pro humbucker pickups provide a huge variety of sound choices for the modern guitarist. For those who are used to carrying two guitars to gigs, the Epiphone ES339 Pro will solve that problem once and for all,

The neck pickup volume pot and the bridge pickup volume pot each feature an easy-touch push/pull coil tap, making for smooth transitions back and forth between single coil and classic humbucker sounds. The all-metal heavy duty Epiphone 1/4 inch output jack gives you a lifetime of worry-free use.

The Birth of a Legend
First introduced in the late '50s, the ES series became an instant rock classic, bringing the feel and look of an archtop to a generation of players who had grown up playing solid body guitars like the Les Paul. The ES-335, the first in the ES series, was an instant success. But for many players who were used to smaller solid body guitars, the ES-335 felt too bulky to play on stage. The Epiphone ES339 Pro is the perfect remedy, featuring smaller body dimensions while still retaining the bell-like tone the ES series is famous for.

Overall Rating
What a great guitar
What is your overall opinion of this product?
This guitar is a much higher quality then I expected. The neck is great for me. I have short fingers and bar chords are a breeze with the slim neck on this guitar. I purchased the TV Pelham blue. Wow what a beautiful finish! The pictures on this site do not serve this guitar justice.
What is your opinion of the quality of this product? How does it work for different genres of music?
This guitar is top shelf!
Heavy, fast, chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
It is a pretty light guitar. The neck is fast. When you split the pickups it actually sounds good!
How is the tone? Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick or thin?
You can get any tone you want out of this guitar
How did the stain or paint job look?
Flawless finish on this guitar
Did you get what you were expecting for the price? How does it compare to similar products in the same price range?
We'll as with most guitars at this price point I did have to spend the money to have it setup. The bridge was set all the way up to the top of the towers. Other then that this is one great piece of equipment.
How was the action out of the box?
One of the worst I have seen. But I wouldn't expect a great setup on a 400 dollar guitar.
