Epiphone

The Epiphone 50th Anniversary 1962 Sheraton Electric Guitar is an incredibly accurate reissue of one of the classic Epiphone designs! The original early '60s Sheraton profile features a laminated maple body with period correct binding, a 5-layer bound tortoise-style pickguard with metal foil ‘E’, and a mahogany neck with a 1960s SlimTaper profile. The rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium jumbo frets, pearloid and Abalone Block and Triangle inlays, and Grover kidney style machine heads.

The 1962 Sheraton reissue's electronics feature CTS potentiometers, Epiphone's non-rotating 1/4 inch output jack, Top Hat knobs with metal inserts, and Gibson USA mini-humbuckers for superior sound! This Epiphone Sheraton comes with your choice of a Frequensator tailpiece or a Tremotone tremelo tailpiece. The reissue Epiphone Tremotone tremolo bar was carefully redesigned to function and look exactly like the original but with subtle improvements to ensure longer life.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
This is a really well made guitar. But like a previous rating. Had the guitar set up and agree needs a better bridge set up constantly having a tuning problem. I think Epiphone and Gibson need to look at the bridges they are using.
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
Can be a reliable instrument if you have the patients to have it done right. Like I said the bridge needs to be changed out and the neck has a problem with being true had the guitar set up a couple of months ago when I first got it. Always keep my guitar in case when not in use and yesterday seen that the truss rod needs adjustment again hope this will not be a on going thing.
General
Your general opinion of this product.
Like I said this guitar can be a keeper if you want to invest time to have it done correctly. And want to invest in a new bridge.
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
Really great playability. Very comfortable neck.
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
The tone with this guitar is wheat really has me sold. Very beautiful sound for nice jazz and mellow playing and also can be put when you need to drive.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
The finish of this guitar is really nice
Action
How was the action out of the box?
Like all guitars no matter what they are I always have the action set for me.
