The Epiphone Limited Edition Emperor Swingster Electric Guitar is Epiphone’s dazzling go-to rockabilly, jazz and rock hollowbody classic. It features Epiphone SwingBucker pickups with classic Alnico-V magnets, Grover machine heads, a LockTone Tune-o-matic bridge, and best of all, a licensed B30 Bigsby with original style ‘wire’ handle.
The Emperor Swingster limited edition is designed with hand-scalloped arched Spruce top combined with a laminated arched-back maple body and glued-in 3-piece Hard maple neck. At the heart of the guitar are Epiphone's SwingBucker pickups and a series/parallel electronics switching package. The humbuckers offer no-hum performance and feature classic Alnico-V magnets, enamel wire and over-wound coils for the perfect combination of warmth and bite.
Also featured with the Epiphone Limited Edition Emperor Swingster Electric Guitar are two push/pull tone controls. This allows you to change each pickup's output individually from parallel to series wiring creating a palette of useful sounds to tap into ranging from warm humbuckers to ‘quacky’ single-coil type sounds and everything in-between.

| 2nd one did the trick~ |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| The first one I received had a switch problem with intermittent sound. Everything else about the guitar was excellent. I returned it and it was replaced with no problem. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| As I mentioned, about the switch, I am hoping that this one will not give me any future problems. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| This is really a beautiful guitar and while not a complete replacement for all my guitars, 24, I think I could probably sell about 18 of them.. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| It feels good and comfortable...like I have been playing it for years. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Many, many tonal variations, thanks to the push/pull pots. I love it!! |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| I have yet to find a blemish of any kind. As good as any Fender, Gibson or G & L that I have. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| It might be a tad lower, you know, but, I'm not all that picky...I think it just feels right, for this guitar. |

|
| This is a very well-made hollow archtop that sounds and looks great! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| The quality is excellent, as there is not a blemish or any irregularity in the finish/binding/paint/inlays. The sparkle trim (especially around the f-holes) is way cool - makes it look like it came out of an Italian accordion shop in the 50s! The paint has subtle metal flake, too. The pickups are excellent, and the parallel/series switching works great. I get a really nice "Gretschy" tone with the neck PU switched to "single coil." The Bigsby vibrato works really well, although even with the roller bridge, it still needs some re-tuning if you really work the vibrato. |

| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I've had it for about a year now and I have had no problems with this guitar. |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I think this is a great guitar for the money. On a par, if not better, than any of the Gretsch Electromatic series guitars. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The neck feels great, nice string spacing, excellent action out of the box, and I love the med. jumbo frets. I play fingerstyle, and occasionally the high E string has popped out of the roller saddle when I picked it particularly hard. That's using a set of 10s. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| I love the tone, and it's versatile because you can use in full humbucker mode for a nice fat blues or country sound. When switched, it sounds like two P-90s for some nice twang, perfect for rockabilly and old Chet-style playing. Combine the two for even more variation . . . |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| The paint and finish are excellent. The guitar looks killer! |
