Epiphone G400 Custom SG Electric Guitar

The Epiphone G400 Custom SG-styled electric guitar has more custom appointments than you can shake a stick at. This beautiful guitar features 3 humbucking pickups, gold hardware, binding on the neck and headstock and bold block neck inlays. The fattest sounding of all SG-style guitars, the triple pickup design sounds huge. Other features include a mahogany body, a set-in mahogany neck, a rosewood fingerboard, and 24 3/4 inch scale length.

Lock Tone
The Lock Tone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece are standard equipment on all Epiphone guitars with a tune-o-matic setup. From their Custom Les Pauls right down to the Special II, Epiphone knows that tuning stability and sustain can make or break a guitar so it’s important to have a dependable bridge you can trust.

Quality
Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable?
I know from experience that this is a well made guitar. No shortcuts, no cheap materials
Reliability
How has it stood up over time?
It is solid, straight & stays IN TUNE! Grover machine heads & solid body design make the G400CST incredibly reliable!
Overall
Your general opinion of this product.
Beautiful looks, awesome tone & sound, one of the best Epiphone has to offer!
Playability and Feel
How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing?
The G400CST covers all areas of playability & sound. You can adjust the 3 Humbuckers to sound like Metallica, Sabbath, Tom Petty, AC/DC or Chuck Berry!
Tone
Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin?
Bright and snappy, dark and smooth, dark and snappy, bright and smooth... it's all of those and more.
Finish
How did the stain or paint job look?
I love the antique Ivory finish. It reminded me of the Black Sabbath Iron Man video from back in the early 70s! LOVE IT!
Action
How was the action out of the box?
The action never needed to be adjusted from the box. Enclosed with the GT400CST was a sign off sheet indicating it was strung, tuned & set. Intonation & action were perfect, and still remain so.

good neck, action a little heavy
Tone

difficult to say yet, as it is hard to tell which knob does whar, and does'nt come with any wiring diagram, so you just have to guess, but once you figure it out, it is excellent.
