Epiphone G400 SG Left Handed Electric Guitar

The Epiphone G400L is an authorized, left-handed version of Gibson's famous SG '62 with all of the vintage style and tone that made it a favorite of many original rock legends. Features include a solid mahogany body and slim taper mahogany neck, Gibson-designed high output humbucker pickups, a chrome tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. A true icon guitar, the SG was originally a successor to the Les Paul Model from '61 to '68. This Epiphoine edition of the prized 1962 Gibson SG boasts the power and merciless sustain you expect to shake you all night long.

OVERALL:
I loved this guitar when I first opened the box. The neck is a bit thick if you've been playing Strat's all your life, but you get used to it fast. Excellent quality, good price, and left-handed.

Overall:

QUALITY:
As good as a Gibson. The finish is flawless, and the set neck feels sturdy.

FEATURES:
As good as a Gibson. I didn't expect Grover tuners and left-handed pots, but there they are!

EASE OF USE:
As good as a Gibson. Out of the box it was very playable- my tech set the action and intonation and now it plays like a dream!

VALUE:
As good as a Gibson for a lot less.

SOUND:
Better than I expected. I recently bought (and returned) a lefty Epiphone LP100. The G400 sounds way better- cleaner and crunchier, because of the Alnico magnets. My tech wants me to upgrade to Rio Grande pickups, but I'm happy for now.
