| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| not sure yet only had it for a week |
|
| Overall |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I feel this guitar is very well made, will withstand anything i try on it, and is all around a great guitar. Ive played many Gibsons as well as some epis, and theyre all really great guitars. they really know what theyre doing in the factories. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| This is where its kinda off...The neck is a little heavier than the body (which ive heard of this in all SG's) making the guitar a little off balance. i dont mind it at all because im used to playing SG's as well as heavy Les Pauls, but to someone who is used to a balanced guitar it might be a little difficult to get used to. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| The pickups on the faded g400 are great. heavy fat tones then a flip of the switch and you have bright and snappy tones. these same pickups are on my epi les paul ultra2 and i loved them on that, so when i saw they were on this i knew it was going to sounds great. |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| I love the faded look it has to it. makes it look awesome and leaves no finger prints anywhere! the neck is super slippery and it makes it nice and fast for solos. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| the action was quite good out of the box. i did have to adjust to my specific needs but it was darn near close! |
