The Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio was based upon Gibson's very successful Gothic line and features a satin-black finish and black hardware for an absolutely wicked look. The ultimate rock-slab turned to the dark side, the Epiphone Goth Les Paul Studio features that famous powerful shape finished in Satin Black, with black hardware and explosive Alnico Classic Humbucker pickups, and is inked with the Goth cross logo on the headstock and Roman numeral XII 12th fret inlay. KillPot on the tone control allows you to momentarily 'kill' the sound for great effects. Includes Epiphone's awesome Limited Lifetime warranty.
Lock Tone
The Lock Tone Tune-O-Matic bridge and Stopbar tailpiece are standard equipment on all Epiphone guitars with a tune-o-matic setup. From their Custom Les Pauls right down to the Special II, Epiphone knows that tuning stability and sustain can make or break a guitar so it’s important to have a dependable bridge you can trust.

| I'm In Love ! |
| Quality |
| Would you consider this product to be made well? How dependable? |
| For a chinese made guitar, this is just as good if not better, than some of Gibson's overpirced product. |
|
| Reliability |
| How has it stood up over time? |
| I just got mine a few days ago but, it has held up very well, especially after I gave it a good cleaning, setup , and restringing. |
|
| General |
| Your general opinion of this product. |
| I'm 53 years old and in my 40 years of playing guitar, this has to be one of the best instruments I have ever come across. The stock Alnico open coil humbuckers sound great whether you're playing clean or on a Gain setting, plus the Grover tuners keep this baby in tune forever . The White Cross and the XI inlay on the neck are also cosmetically appealing to the eye as well. |
|
| Playability and Feel |
| How does it feel, Heavy, Fast, Chunky? How was the neck? Are the controls easy to get to while playing? |
| The neck on this reminds me of a 1960's design LP, while the body is not as heavy as the LP Standards and is quite comfortable on my shoulder. |
|
| Tone |
| Bright and snappy? Dark and smooth? Were the pickups hot, mellow, thick, thin? |
| Once the Humbuckers were adjusted to my specs, I got nothing but pure tone with plenty of sustain , which was pleasing to my middle aged ears ! |
|
| Finish |
| How did the stain or paint job look? |
| I love the Matte Black finish along with the XV inlay and the White Cross outline . Definately adds a touch of class to it. |
|
| Action |
| How was the action out of the box? |
| Very fast neck even though I have my action set a bit high , which is my personal preference . |
